Messi was unhappy that Villa did not pass him the ball initially instead passing it late and Villa responded that he tried but it wasn't there but apparently Messi still was insistent what he wanted Villa to do.
That's what I read from that article
Messi kept repeating "A la primera", which can be translated to "at the first touch" or "sooner".
Basically Messi wanted Villa to pass him the ball when David had that opening to pass it to a free running Midget.
