Yep..probably only behind Rodgers, Brady and Big Rape, at this point..
I could pull p all those Newton>Luck threads I've made in the past, but no point, tbh..

Only thing I care about is the SuperBowl. Couldn't care less if Newton wins the MVP this year (he should)

This is why ya don't get too anything too soon. Like so many here do. Ya...SLOW DOWN....and give things some time.

It does take years to get ...NFL QB...down. Just look at all the greats and when they had their best seasons.

    What's funny is this.....

Now it's off to Dallas for Turkey Day, something the Cowboys do every season, they have it down. If Cam has a bad game..."see see see, huh huh huh, he ain't "....hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That sort of thing never ceases to amaze me.

Easy money tbh. Public always overvalues Dallas, we got all our defense big rest in the game today, and Charles Johnson is back on deck...

And what record would the Panthers have with the QB 's the Cowboys have had? And how would the Cowboys be doing with Cam Newton at QB?

    Rookiers, sheesh~~~~~~~~

Don't act like ya don't get it, ok? Do you think the Panthers have that 10-0 with Weeden/CasselL at QB? What if Newton had been on the Cowboys this season?

So this 10-0 vs 3-7 is makes no sense, ok? The Cowboys simply had no QB.

Yes the Panthers are a "good" team, but.....

They could easily be 8-2 and they have had six home games. They face...

..the next five weeks. Who can tell me how many times teams win two back to back road stands?

But, they are doing it the exact way the Seahawks did it.

    For this week's game:

Offense: throw, throw, throw. Cowboys are an elite run defense but their secondary is atrocious.

Defense: stack the box, make romo throw the deep ball, pick it off etc. Don't let them squeeze you out with the run game.

    Panthers 34–24, tbh.

Espn just put article comparing Brady to Newton with MVP consideration. With all do respect, Newton isnt even close. Newton is good, but not that good. Panthers strength is their defense as group.

I bet you if we finish 14-2 or better Newton wins it.

Just skipped all that bull you wrote about what we're "supposed" to be. It's football. All games are close.

What I quoted is a legitimate concern. I am very happy that the bulk of our schedule was at home (the tough games) - and it certainly helps that we could have the playoffs run through Charlotte.

That being said we are a very good road team. We will see how this goes.

If you read the article it said Brady is better but that paying attention to passing numbers isn't telling the complete story and adding Newton's running game into account brings their impact on their offenses closer, with Brady still ahead but not by much.

All bets are off if Newton keeps throwing like he has the last 2 or 3 games though, tbqh.

I would give it to Brady right now but we'll see what happens without Edelman going forward.

I'm not the one saying every week essentially how overrated we are.

I gave Dallas props. I acknowledged I think they have a good chance of giving us our first loss. Not sure what more you're looking for.

A rusty Romo(he looked pretty bad yesterday) isn't worth that many points, tbh, especially since Vegas can get more value by getting the public to bet on a home dog Cowboys team..

I'm still going to bet on Dallas, but it's disrespectful to Carolina IMO.

Listen rookie. Seattle had the top defense in the league while the Panthers defense is good, but not at that level. The Panthers are more reliant on their offense, especially Cam in the running game, but especially in the passing game. The Panthers have the 3rd highest offensive efficieny in the league behind the Cards and Pats. While the Panthers the 5th ranked defense in efficiency, the Panthers offense, meaning Cam has been carrying the load this year. No real comparison to the Seahawks team which were bent on their defense and running game while RW made enough plays to help them win.

That's really not true. The Panthers offense has been the strength of this team, especially Cam. The defense is good, but the offensive is 3rd in the league in points per possession behind the Cards and Pats. while the defense is 5th. Cam has been the biggest reason for this team's success and it's not even close. If anything, Carson Palmer has done more for his team than anyone else. Unlike the Pats and the Panthers, the Cards defense is average at best while their offense is the best in the league.

Thanks for noticing how efficient our offense has been. It's more apparent now than ever that that ankle surgery really did effect Newton last year. He has been unstoppable this year. He doesn't get the crazy stats because the way our offense is ran.

Our defense is pretty great. They've rallied this year without some pretty big pieces (Kuechly for 4 games, Star for 2, Charles Johnson for 7, etc.). They haven't closed out well, but really I think that's overrated because the games they struggled closing out were games against top offenses.

This team has so many weapons on defense it's ridiculous. There's literally a case for 7-8 players on that D to be in the PB.
