I hate being right. But everything I said in this thread is absolute truth and why the Cardinals almost lost last week and did lose this week.
I'm thankful to have a compe ive NFL franchise. Cardinals were the Browns a mere 10-12 years ago, and the Clippers of the NFL farther back than that.
So, going to playoffs back to back years, and netting 10 or more wins for the last three, and setting franchise marks on offense is a huge step forward.
I'd not change the front office or coaching for just about anything.
But it's clear they need to focus on needs, not just talent.
They need OL and LB help. Badly. Their pass blocking was poor and pass rush worse.
Now, maybe Cooper/Humphries put it together and this helps, but they need at least one more impact veteran.
And they need at least one downhill edge rusher.
But, even more than talent, they need to take a look in the mirror and figure out why they can't seem to take advantage of game-changing plays.
Be it the Peterson muffed punt right when they were getting into the game, or Palmer's red zone special right when they could swing momentum before half.
Coaching, scheme, player execution, all need to be examined.
What a ty way for the year to end.
I'm glad Arians said what he said.
It isn't a good year unless the confetti is falling for you.
