As a Spurs fan who's lived in both the US and Australia, that game had special significance for me. Great to see Patty Mills and Derrick White both playing well
Also funny to see Pop's mad scientist mode on the international stage

Coach K coached All-Stars.. Pop is coaching 21-26 year olds and Kemba Walker.
The all stars came later.
K also had to do the FIBA / Worlds with less then All-Stars.

All those criticizing pop last World Cup coach K had guys like harden, Steph, etc..

Right. As a shooting guard he is a scoring machine.
Unfortunately. The best scenario was practicing till the end with the team, then go home a better player and rest. This actually sucks, he will have few minutes anyway but risks injuries. And he will possibly get only the silver/bronze medal.
This Team USA isn't even the B Squad. They don't have a single MVP candidate, when in theory team USA should have 5 or 6 MVP candidates. Of course, it'll be big news if they lose to anyone, but in context it shouldn't be too surprising if a team led by Nikola Jokic beats a team led by Kemba Walker.

Patty’s always been a different beast in FIBA. Averaged 21 ppg in the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. Had 20 pts against Team USA in 2008 as a 19 year-old, 26 pts against them in 2012 at the London Olympics, and 30 pts against them in Rio in 2016.
He’s just always played well against Team USA, and he’s got the green light playing for Australia. Can throw it up whenever he wants.
He could prove me wrong but Donovan Mitc looks like a fake star to me, I know he’s young but he hasn’t impressed me since the playoffs his rookie year
