Yea, I would have liked to see him get a better shot. I would have hated to see him dribble into traffic, get stripped, and everyone here crying because "the refs won't call a damn foul in the last seconds, even when it's obvious."
If you have to live in fear that your team can't be compe ive in O/T, you've got bigger problems that that one shot. I mentioned in another thread, but Pop had two timeouts to work with, too. You can't let him off the hook for that show.

I know you like to try and impress your pretend friends on here, who you've never met before, but the Spurs are not a losing organization. Your ty basketball takes on here make you a loser, nut not the Spurs organization tbh.
What a terrible loss. This was as bad as the one to the Knicks. All the Spurs had to do is beat the bad teams on the schedule to avoid the #8 seed but no one should have any confidence in them to do so if the game isn't at the AT&T Center. After the Houston game the schedule got really easy outside of one road game in Denver but I'm not sure it matters.

Every team in the NBA will look as if they are content with where they are at if they don't make roster moves for the sake of showing that they are "trying" to win. And whats funny is that the teams that are actually content with where they are at, are being praised because they are tanking and showing "initiative" on trying to improve in the future.Fans like you are why the PATFO is now content to be a loser organization tbh.
OKC, Rockets, Lakers have all recently made plenty of big splash moves, or at least moves that make people on this forum say "And of course PATFO just twiddles their thumbs being all content with having Mills and Forbes on the roster" And yet OKC is falling apart, Lakers already fell apart. Rockets will eventually fall apart in the playoffs. And this goes for other teams as well. None of their moves have lead to any Championships.
I can pretty much guarantee you that this organization is NOT content with losing. 22 Years of winning seasons straight pretty much puts an end to that discussion. Yes we don't have Timmy anymore and Pop will go away soon but this organization prides itself on being a winning organization. Things aren't always perfect but when you invest on a player, MVP caliber player, and you hope to build your future around him only to have him screw you and your plans over, well it doesn't make for great results. But it does not mean they are happy with where they are. And its pretty dumb to think that they are when everything they have done shows the exact opposite. You just feel frustrated cause this team is not good enough to win this year but thats just the way it is. I can almost guarantee we will win 50+ games next year (pending health), we will be back to a top 4 seed.
I'm sure some moves could have been done differently that may or may not have improved this team this year but all that is always going to be hindsight. You can't expect every team to succeed with every move they make.
But because a team struggles does not mean they are content with where they are at.
Its like the Spurs where afraid to attack the paint in this game. Charlotte played big and scared the Spurs to pass the ball around the perimeter too much leading to turnovers and chucked 3's that were clanking left and right. When the Spurs attacked the paint they started scoring. if DeRozan had attacked the paint on that last shot before overtime he would have had a much higher chance to sink a basket or get fouled. Being too timid lost the game.
