Closing with Mills is bad enough, closing with both Mills and Rudy?![]()
This true, frustrating, but true
Closing with Mills is bad enough, closing with both Mills and Rudy?![]()
We usually shoot like and we usually can't protect the rim, we're overachieving tbh with zero top tier talent. One leg Hayward is better offensively than any of our players and Rozier a better pg than any of our pgs as well. This L is no surprise.
Again playing down to opponents. The bad rotation didn’t help. I don’t know why Coach Pop insist on trying to outscore the opponent than stopping with great defense and then create transition offense.

I just watched the game. First, I can believe the Spurs lost at home to the Hornets without Lamelo Ball playing, and second, why in the is Pop always playing Rudy Gay and Patty Mills in the 4th quarter? Yet another ing clang from Mills with the game on the line. I don't understand how or why Pop thinks Mills is clutch, or why he thinks Mills should be closing games ALL THE ING TIME. If Pop doesn't start smartening up, I don't think I can watch anymore. I want to watch the young guys badly, but I can't stand watching him play the old vets that don't have any upside at all. It's a complete waste of time. You're not letting the young guys develop. You're just setting them back further and further.
it, I'm mad. Better off just trading the young guys so that they can get court time on other teams team and maybe reach their potential elsewhere. Pop can get a ing team full of vets and get aroused watching them play for all I care. Get himself a team full of Demarre Carrolls.
I think I saw another 6'10" guy sitting on the bench who heaves up threes? I know he is better for perimeter play but could he have been any worse than Rudysaurus?
I don't disagree with that, but like I said... this is the way Pop feels-- that he only has Rudy to fill that role right now. It could change next season for Luka, and like you said, he's better suited for perimeter defense at the PF position. Right now, however, unless we make a trade or pick up somebody in the buyout market, expect a lot more Rudy at the 5 if the offense calls for it.
