I think one way to look at Wemby’s 3PT shooting is to just count them as turnovers. That’s an additional 5.5/gm that Wemby is committing. That’s bad enough before you add them to the 3.3 real turnovers/gm he’s committing.
You know what else kills our offense? Wemby flinging 25-footers at every given opportunity.
I know he's Wemby so he has the ultimate greenlight, but he is shooting .220 on 7 attempts a game. He was 2/9 last night. That is NOT good offense. It's basically wasted possessions.
I don't expect him to go down and post up like Timmy did, but there has to be a way to get him better shots than that and he needs to stop settling for these garbage attempts unless he can start hitting them.

If he's guarded by a 6'4 guy, he should be posting up like Timmy did tbh.
The most frustrating aspect, by far, of Wemby's game isn't his 3 point shooting but his inexplicable desire to pass back out after we've worked 14 seconds to get him into the post with a mismatch. It's bad basketball, objectively. Just shoot it, dude. CP3 running a PnR or some other player jacking up a shot at the end of the shot clock isn't going to turn out better on probably 70-80% of possessions.
Wemby can shoot a fadeaway though. He can also drive to the middle and shoot a hook shot (theoretically) and LaMarcus also had a face up game, since his midrange shot was money. I mean the Spurs already brought him in for a workout with Wemby, but I think as a player development coach he could teach the young guys some good stuff.
At least a bad shot has a chance of going in, but mathematically you're not wrong.
I'm fine if Wemby wants to be a three-point shooter some of the time. But I don't care if you are Wemby or LeBron or Michael Jordan, a coach needs to tell you to reel it in if you are shooting 22%.
Wemby has all the talent in the world and his shot will hopefully improve, but these are just wasteful shots right now.
Unless he is shooting these at like a 60% clip in scrimmage and we are just missing something, telling him to "just keep shooting" is bad coaching.

Wemby is in some good company, and if he keeps this up, he will shatter that record.
Imagine having both Tre and Wemby chucking 3s. We would be the San Antoine Walkers
Until they change strategy again.
They have no idea what they're doing, Wemby is almost in a diva mode as if he needed to change the game of basketball by himself and Pop lost his edge, he just wanna be friend with his players.
Wemby said in post game that he wats to learn the P&R from Cp3 but we barely see one per game, he almost never rolls ffs
