That Clipper-Denver series is the best of the first round by a mile.

Reminds me of that 2015 season sadly. We shouldn’t lost that PELs game right before the playoffs.

The top free throw differentials among teams since the start of last season... second, third, fourth places are around +350 free throws overall. The Lakers are at +1,100.

Lakers are a fraud team. They have no business getting home court. They should be fighting for play in games because it’s so horribly constructed where the parts just don’t fit. I fully expect them to get a few games with insane whistles to prolong the series to 6 or 7 games when they should’ve been swept.

A bit worried about the nuggets series though. Coming back from like 20 point down at home to beat the clippers isn’t a good thing. But they had this re ed stretch of playing zone that constantly matched up Kawhi with Jokic which was just re ed so hope they never pull that crap again.

Surprised Indy just destroyed the bucks as I thought the bucks would at least get out of the first round pretty easily.

Detroit looked good for a while but inexperience caught up with them. They should make it a 6 game series though.

Not sure where those warriors over rockets things came from. I think rockets will just dispose of them rather easily.

They're doing it the right way and their front office deserves this.
They received their franchise player when he was 21 and he developed into the best guard in the league there.
Looking at minutes per game this season, 2nd-7th were all drafted by OKC except Hartenstein.
From 8th to 18th, just Caruso was traded for, they got Joe as a reclamation project after Sixers got rid of him, everyone else was drafted by them.
Their coach joined their G-league team at 29 and worked his way up through the ranks.

If it wasn't OKC, everyone would be loving what they did.
And they did it with just two years of tanking, went right back to 40 wins in the third season.

Their key draft picks in the lottery consisted of guys who knew how to play the game the right way. The one blunder they did have was Ousmane Dieng, a guy that had talent but you had to “imagine” how he’d look once he developed. All I’m hoping for the Spurs is that they avoid a guy like that and don’t be fooled by length and height only and theoretical potential.

People saying "but eXpErIeNcE" are a funny. Like they forgot about last year or something.

OKC gave the Mavs a really tough fight. Both teams scored the exact same amount of points through 6 games. OKC was in position to win game 6 and force a winner take all gm 7, if not for a couple of late mistakes by SGA.

That was literally OKC gaining experience in front of our eyes.

I would be really concern, if OKC players start signing extenions on discount, because this team is stacked and they all look like good friends.

Their master plan seems to be renegotiating and maxing out JJJ.

I have no clue how it can be pulled off... but Minny and a Ja/Ant dynamic duo seems like the kind of thing the Wolves would attempt.

Yep. We'll find out this summer. If they are coming off a le I could see some good vibes discounts with Jalen Williams taking slightly less than a 30% max (if eligible) and I have thought Chet is likely getting slightly less than a 25% max anyway due to his injuries.

Wolves dont have the picks to make it happen. I thinking Rockets may do it.

I'm sure they'd like to, but who'd offer enough at the moment to make it worth their while? Constantly hurt/injured/doing dumb things while playing victim, no longer performing at even All-Star, let alone All-NBA, level and never helmed a quality half court offense even when he was.

I could see the Heat, Suns and Kings having interest, but they don't have enough to offer. They probably need either Young to grow impatient with the Hawks or the Hornets to do so with Ball to find a credible offer.

The Timberwolves are better, but it's close enough that I still expect the Lakers to win because I trust the decision making of their creators more in crunch time + the lack of a credible Doncic defender (McDaniels lacks requisite girth).

The Clippers are better and I still expect them to win, but while their collective length/strength can usually mask the lack of a PF, this is one matchup where it could be a swing factor.

The Pacers are better, but if the Bucks get Lillard in close to peak form in game 2 and beyond, they've got a shot because in addition to having the best player in the series + the lack of a credible defender for him, they'll have two of the top three.

    Agreed.

Nah, other than the Grizzlies, who are clearly in disarray, the Rockets are the clear paper tiger in the West. Lack of experience, low end star power, laboring half court offense.
