I think Reggie Evans got suspended too. But Reggie Evans was grabbing Kaman's nut and pulled hard from behind. Terry just retaliated because he's being pressed down by Finley!! He should not get a suspension!!
    I KNOW

They should give him MEDAL for his committment to SELF-DEFENSE!

    what an idiot

Mike Tyson did a better job at trying to hide his 'ear-biting' incident

what when on there was a normal scramble for the ball. then Terry punches him square in the nuts!?!? he must have been on the good stuff coz that was the dumbest thing ive seen

he should get 2 games for that and community service, lecturing young people on the dangers of forceful contact to human anatomy.........

    Mark Cuban sez:

"Unbelievable," Mavs owner Mark Cuban wrote in an e-mail to The Associated Press. "Michael Finley does a pile driver with his hip to Jason's head while he is on the ground. Jason is on his back with Ginobili laying on top of him."

"No question he tried to get Finley off of him and he should be fined for that. But to suspend him is questionable."

Finley is pressing his body to Terry's head like Jiujitsu fighter, Terry just retaliated!!
What will a man do if somebody trying to jiujitsu you, you just defend yourself.
ALL SPURS FAN, you see the ref is not against the SPURS.
Yeah that Finley sure has a repuation as a dirty player. Nothing like Saint Terry.

Your boy doen ed up. Lots of players get landed on in a pile up. Some get pissed. But the stupid ones throw a bunch. Deal.

It's just typical of the way the refs have been letting the Mavs get away with blatant assaults on Spurs persons in this series...

It take a real group of dumbasses to cite Refs no calling a brutal punch in the nuts on a Spurs player as proof the refs are calling things evenly.
    What brutal punch?!? You're exageratting!!

I hate this guy i did not like him in this series because after every win he was talking smack about the Mavs and how unbeatable he thinks they are when they are playing well. Last night though just topped it for me with his cheap shot punch on Finley that he knew he could get away with the refs not right on top of it. I know he is a clutch shooter but he is an asshole.

EXACTLY HE TALKED SAMCK, HE CELEBRATED IN FRONT OF OUR SPURS AS IF HE WAS THE CHAMP

You can tell you've been under the spell of Mark Cuban when you can't figure out the "intent" of punching someone in the nuts.
It's fine. Even though I think the Mavs get beat now on Friday and it sets up a uva Game 7... Spurs should watch out, and they're smart enough that I think they will. This game has a strong chance of being surprisingly compe ive.

Get punched in the nuts(if you have any), even by an old woman, and tell me it's not brutal. Now picture a tough guy like Terry hitting you in the nuts. It's like physics with balls.

I'm not a guy, but I've always been told that any kind of contact that doesn't involve a happy ending is brutal.

It's because they're not boring - is that why you hate the Mavs?

And why should Manu have any time to to the refs? I loved it when JET took the ball away from The Nose.

Don't say till you Dallas s actually win something

    You oversimplfy things...

Jason Terry is not an immortal...he's capable of having a big game, he's also capable of sucking...

Thats like asking if Lou Gehrig was so great how come he couldn't beat out Wally Pipp.

You act like coaches never decide to yank players for ty play, or players never beat out other players late in the season...

Haven't you ever seen Tony or Manu's ass get yanked from a game for ty play?

How come Robert Horry and his 6 rings and playoff resume can't get off the bench?

Jason Terry is not essential for the Mavs to beat us...and if he's having an off night, he may indeed make it easier for us to win...

This suspension could help us...it could also hurt us depending on what the unknowns playing behind him do. For all we know Terry just started his last game as a Mav...Unlikely but...it's not like Terry is Jordan...he wasn't that great last night.

whott: This logic does not make sense. I'm sure that you are smarter than this.

We are looking at the most likely course of events here. It seems to me that it is likely that Terry would benefit the Mavs more in game 6 at home than that he would hurt them.

What is more likely to occur? Terry plays and helps them more than he hurts them or Terry plays and hurts them more than he helps them.

Is it not completely obvious that the former is much more likely than the latter?

My comments were not an oversimplification. Since neither of us know the future, we have to contemplate what is the more likely course of events. It seems clear that it is more likely that Terry's play would help them more than hurt them.

Getting to work often is heavily dependent upon having a car. However, I may get in a car accident and die. Therefore, if I lost my car, it really is a good thing.

    Interesting method of reasoning.

Seems arbitrary to say that Terry is not a serious loss to them unless you believe that Terry is a borderline mediocre player.

I don't believe that. I think he is a punk, but does have good basketball skills.

Do you really think that Terry is a borderline mediocre player??

If so, I disagree and I think most fans would also disagree with you (regardless of team preference).

If not, then your line of reasoning must apply to Dirk. But then it proves too much. For your method of reasoning has as its logical conclusion that losing Dirk would not be a serious blow to the team (most of the time- yes I know about the 2003 series-- but you may win the lottery once- that does not mean that it makes sense to play it continually because the odds are against you). Since, if your line of reasoning is true, it proves too much then your premise must be mistakes. (proof by contradiction) q.e.d.

Hey dumb , rules are rules. You throw a punch you get suspended. Are rules too hard to follow? Oh yeah, I forgot, you're Mark Cuban.

bag would be demanding a congressinalo investigation if Finley had cold ed Terry's nut.

How one-sided are you people? Watch it again. The Nose was standing over the Mav. He had ample space and time to move on his own. The Mavs had every right to do what he did.

well tough , we been getting the short end of the stick for the past games

    You aren't allowed to punch.

    Suspension is the consequence.
Here is the exact wording from the NBA rule book:

" Violent acts of any nature on the court will not be tolerated. Players involved in altercations will be ejected, fined and/or suspended."

Which is why Terry should be suspended (if you think it was a punch), and also why Fin should be too.

The Suns shouldn't have been as good with their best perimeter defender out...Guess what? They were better, the suspension galvanized them, and they played their best games from the suspension on.

You oversimplify things....this doesn't make winning any more certain.
