Yeah, it's amazing how some players can actually play pretty decent defense when it's ACTUALLY expected from them.

What's funny is Larry Brown really TRIED. He tried all year to get them into defensive principles, but lead by Marbury, they just weren't having it.

Yep, you have to have your top player(s) on board with it to make it work. Even though Dirk is not that good of defensive player he tries hard at it and supports it now (hence the Mavs improvement in defense). As does Stack. Funny how the two leaders of the Mavs are their worst defenders.

I disagree because hes still a total unproven player, and hardly got minutes last year compared to Elson.

unproven? Rookie year fool. He prob got a toatl of 12 mins. And those supposed 12 mins I liked what I saw.
