The name on the article is jeremy bentham, who will be a new character next season. I saw it on wikpedia, hes named after another famous philospher like many on the show including locke.
Just noticed the article says it's a man... so it's not Juliet.

wow. this show was awesome...reading this thread and every comment are my thoughts exactly
The casket was far too small to be a man. The new charcter must be a child.
Lost finished the season strong. Hopefully the fourth season picks up where this one left off.
BTW, Seeing Hugo kick some ass made my night.
There are actually a lot of things to root for in this episode, and most of them involved others dying or getting their ass kicked. Charlies death scene was tough as to see; it was really well done.
I just rewatched the last scene with Jack and Kate.I gotta say that the whole conversation was a little strange.
Jack says "I'm sick of lying" and "We made a mistake". It makes me think that Kate, Jack, and the man in the coffin are the only ones that made it off the island.
Maybe they left the rest of the losties on the island. They got off the island for themselves and forgot about everyone else. Kinda like Michael and Walt last season.
Just a thought because that scene is very interesting if rewatched.
Maybe, but remember how Claire and Aaron got on a helicopter in Desmond's vision? I think everyone gets off, so that not only do we get to know about the Losties' life pre-island, but we watch their development, and then watch their solutions, aka after they leave the island. Lots of things to conclude, such as Sawyer's situation with his daughter, Kate's, and especially Sayid's and Michael's.
I just think that Jack's life is a mess now that he isn't in-charge any more, and he made a mistake leaving it all behind. Understandable, slightly, but he is just mostly being a wreck because of Sarah making him far worse. If they were still together he'd still be strong.
I wonder what happened with Jack and Juliette though, that kiss made it seem like they were a couple?
I think you're way offbase on your assessment why Jack is upset. I think the island is an amazing place, maybe one in danger - and leaving it as teh wrong decision because of that. I doubt it is something as petty as not being in charge.
After mulling it over all night....I'm still pretty pissed off that they made Jack into a pill-popping suicidal psycho. And I'm still not convinced that the whole flash scene things with Jack were FUTURE flashes.
They throw you off with the Dad reference, otherwise it would totally be a future flash in my eyes with no contradictions.

Yeah, I agree. Sayid snapping that guy's neck with his feet was awesome and then Sawyer shooting that guy after he surrendered was great.
I think I said "Oh !" about a dozen times last night! All the explosions, them fooling us into thinking Jin, Sayid, and Bernard were really dead, Sayid snapping that dude's neck, Hurley running over that one Other, Sawyer shooting the Other even after he gave up. Daaaaaaamn
Do you think the two chicks in the underwater base ever fooled around? It had to be pretty boring down there.
I think the writers should have explored that relationship more thoroughly. Showtime spinoff?
it made him more interesting to me. I was starting to dislike him a lot and kind of lose interest in him. but the "flash foward" Jack has me intrigued. He must have gone through some ! I mean he is really messed up. makes me really want to know what happened.
Manny - yeah i don't think he's that messed up and wants to go to the island just because he can't be in charge anymore. that's way too small of a reason. besides why would he want to go back on the island to be "in charge" again, if no one is there anymore (assuming they were all rescued)?
what pisses me off is how long we have to wait!!![]()

I think that since he supposedly saw his father alive on the island (in season one when he goes off and finds the caves and fresh water) that he really believes he is alive, and no one can convince him otherwise.
I have also heard on other sites that the girl Jack saves in the accident was Juliette's sister (I guess the kid looked like her son)
Also, if you are Desmond, and you see Charlie starting to drown, and you have air tanks right at your disposal, wouldn't you try to get one ready and open the door and then actually use it to save yourself and Charlie? I don't get it. It also seemed like Charlie had time to get outside the door and close it behind him, thus sealing in the water, and being able to use the tanks to get back to the surface.
Yeah Charlie's death seemed unnecessary... that's my only complaint. I have no problem with them killing him off, but there were several easy outs....
If he hadn't shut the door it would have taken forever for the underwater base to flood and they could have escaped. Or, he could have just escaped out the window. Or , why didn't he just shut the door from the outside??
Did Charlie really feel like he HAD to die to complete the mission? Especially after he realized Penny wasn't on the boat, he should have realized that maybe Desmond's vision was incomplete and shouldn't be carried out.
Very nicely done, dramatic scene, but I hate when there are holes like that.
The body of J________ ___entham?
Jeremy Bentham, the utilitarian?
Could be an alias for one of the old characters, could be a new character related to one of the old, got me.
Had to be a kid. The casket was tiny.
Something I thought of this morning...what if the flash-forward was one a premonition like the flashes Desmond has?
Wow that finale was insane!!! Man I'm so confused as to who or what to root for! I'm a Locke fan so I was rooting for him to stop them.. I trust that Locke knows more than any of the losties because he's been given all these signs and powers. But whenever the blonde girl in the glass eye told Charlie it took a musician to turn off the signal... that totally threw me off. Why was Charlie destined to do that? So that Jack could get a signal and get rescued? But then that means Locke is wrong in trying to stop them... Agh ! so confused! Can't wait for the next season already!!!!![]()
I dont know.. why does the article say a Man was found? Wouldn't they say boy or child??
And does the article say the man's from New York?.......
it was crazy right?! did you think that Sayid, Bernard and Jin were really killed?
