Go to the pound and have a look around. The vast majority of dogs there are Pit mixes. They're one of the most mistreated, neglected, and discarded breed of dogs. It's not any mystery why they are statistically more likely to attack their owners.

it's a pity, no pun intended, but most are abused by their owners and discarded. I love pits and I can acknowledge that environment can lead to issues with them but I can also acknowledge as much as I like pits they are just a more volatile breed.

I've never been around an unruly pit though. The ones I've been around have been big babies.

A lot of idiots use them as an accessory to go with their little hood persona. So yeah, pits definitely have worse dog owners than any other breed.

With that said, their bite force and the fact that they were bred to fight till the death makes them inherently more dangerous than any other dog. I have a pit mix and even though I have full confidence in him when I'm around I make sure he doesn't approach anybody else because I can understand why someone else would be intimidated. I also don't leave him unsupervised with our smaller dogs and wouldn't leave him with a small child of mine. People that have blind confidence in them are idiots. There's a story of two pits killing a 2 yr old and 6 month old despite 8 years of ownership with no prior incidents of aggression.

While I had strong feelings about the breed when she got him as a puppy, my grown daughter has a Pit. He's just a big teddy bear that wants nothing but to hang out with you on the couch though. I've never seen him react in any strong way to strangers or other dogs, he's relaxed and doesn't bark hardly at all. She's responsible though and keeps him on a leash when walking him. I like the fact the she has him now being that she lives on her own. People are less likely to with her when she's walking a big Pit.

My chick's big xolo is mean af to anyone she's not familiar with and especially all animals regardless of how familiar she is with them. I've never been around a pit that acts like that xolo. She's a big baby with my chick and I but not too many others.

My pit was the same way. Such a patient, protective family dog. He just passed away unexpectedly of cancer. He was even the "lifeguard" during pool time with the kids, he was super smart. These idiots from SA that allowed their piece of weaponized dogs to escape deserve what they're gonna get. Hope the judge throws them a super harsh punishment.

No one here believes you have a chick, Joey. Makes good fiction though. Is she a 10 with perfect jugs and a tight pussy and she loves sucking your ? Does she tell you how huge you are all the time?
