Was in the arena for the first one god that was nuts. Though my favorite Victor block of the season was the one on Anfernee Simons.
Those are great and theres so much more, but that Denver comeback stands out alongside the alley oop from Dev that was like from the FT line

The block on KAT was pretty filthy too
The Block on Chet ended the stupid ROY debate
The block on Giannis stunned the NBA world.
I think the Bucks game on national TV was the game with the more stunning highlights.
His rookie season highlights are better than 75% of all players' entire career tbh
That play against the Bucks where he went behind the back, dunked it for the And 1 was disgusting. 17 points in 3 mins against Denver, 10 block triple double, 5x5 game, etc. Kid is just supremely impressive, better than i honestly imagined he would be
Wemby ranked top 20 in the league by the Ringer
https://nbarankings.theringer.com/
#17 is the lowest he will be for a long, long time.
Active players comenting/analysing other active players from other teams has become a normallity in today's NBA and I can't get used to it.
It's surreal(and rarely accurate)
There was a moment at Toronto (or maybe Atlanta) where Vassell had an incredible going out of bounds gather and behind the back pass to Wemby for the score and the look of pure joy and surprise on Wemby's face was a highlight I remember fondly
I was at the arena for the blocks on Chet and Giannis. It’s been years since I’ve heard the SA crowd get up and roar.
He made Gordon his in the second half after he walked through him and stood over him on that first half dead ball inbounds play in an effort to intimidate him. It just pissed him off.
That was versus Toronto. Same game Wemby had his first Triple-Double with Blocks.
Block on Giannis was my favorite
The Giannis block, the block to get a triple dub w/ blocks on that short dude, the logo 3, the Denver win late just overall, two back to back games which were basically 5x5 lolll.. the Denver gamewhich changed the entire course of the post-season
Wemby just needs to improve shot selection and/or shooting efficiency a little bit and he instantly becomes top 10 in the league this next season.
Spurs surrounding him with better talent will pretty much guarantee that his efficiency goes up tbh…even if he doesn’t improve much in terms of his own skill set.
Limiting TOs is another big area of improvement. I’m confident he’ll take a step forward in that department though. Expecting him to be much more comfortable and play at his own pace in year 2 as opposed to rushing things like he did as a rookie.
Absolutely agree about TOs, but I’m not sure if that will be a point of emphasis yet or not.
I wonder when coaching might try to rein that in.
He’s only 20, so there is likely a lot of upside in letting him continue to experiment and expand his skill set, even if it means the turnover problems continue.
We are so lucky to have him and get to watch him develop!
Spurs app has 10 minutes each of best blocks, dunks, assists of Spurs season. That Chet block wasn’t on there though.

Funny to hear 2 dudes giving calm and accurate takes
Nice. I was at that OKC game and it was literally the best regular season game I have been to since David Robinson's first game in 1989. The Milwaukee game must have been unreal to be at too.
