I know I'm on a rant here, but the other thing that upsets me is when people complain about how much they paid for something in reference to how much you want (moreso, expecting to get).
I was trying to buy a portable XM radio a few weeks back and the guy kept talking about how he paid $380 for it and wanted X amount. First off, $80 was a service plan that is no longer valid and the unit has been rapidly dropping in price in advance of a newer model.
We had agreed to a price and a time to meet the following day. Well, he e-mails me the next day saying his wife wanted more for the device she never used (which was why he was selling in the first place). I didn't , I simply responded, "Cool." He had told me he had a few responses for it.
Well, guess what gets re-listed a week or so later. I haven't seen it again, but the market will determine what's a price people are willing to pay. If you're not willing to compromise, you won't sell (which is why I've been pretty good about people asking for lower prices on my phone).
