Rumor from the 24/7 board that Texas A&M back-up QB Jameill Showers will be transferring. Baylor is though to be his destination.
Where do we sit in recruiting with Tony Brown?

I would put Texas behind LSU at this point and there's no telling what will happen (good or bad) if UT has major turnover on the staff by the time he graduates. It's a weird connection, but his godmother was raised by LSU's defensive line coach, Brick Haley. LSU was also the first program to offer him. Where his track star sister, Bealoved, attends school could also make a difference. She's supposed to be taking an official visit to Texas soon and she's also looking at Alabama, A&M, LSU and Texas Tech. Both kids will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend.
Would not surprise me one bit. With Johnny playing as he is and the talent we have and will be getting at the position there just isn't room. He's got a rocket arm and could start at a lot of schools.
Change of plans for the sister of 2014 CB/S Tony Brown. She will be in Austin this weekend on an official. No word yet on Brown as he may still go to Tuscaloosa.
8-2
All things considered, it's feels pretty good.
A&M winning today really raises their profile, any head to head recruiting battles this year will be tough from here out unless we somehow meet them in the cotton bowl and take them down.
Good. Texas has become too ing complacent. They need a swift kick in the ass. A resurgent Aggy should do that.
Not sure who the original source is, but DT A'Shawn Robinson didn't make an official visit to Alabama this weekend as originally planned. He went to the TCU/K-State game in Fort Worth last night.

Texas trying to get some momentum back with DE Daeshon Hall, per 24/7:
“I’m still 100-percent to Washington, but I’m fixing to take some visits. I’m going to visit OSU, Texas A&M and LSU. I’m also going to West Virginia on December 1st,” Hall said.
"I heard from Texas a few weeks ago," he said. "My coaches still keep in contact with Coach (Bruce) Chambers and then they update me. They were just inquiring about me."
“Coach Chambers wants me to come to a game,” explained Hall. “When I have time I’m going to go check them out, but I’m focused on the playoffs right now.”
“Texas is a school I’m still interested in,” Hall told Hookem.com. “Definitely.”
With S Marcell Harris likely to choose Florida on Friday, Texas is looking for different options at safety. Here's an update on S Deric Robertson of Killeen who attended the West Virginia game in early October (24/7):
“I went to the West Virginia game with Darius James,” Robertson said. “He's one of my best friends. We've been friends since the 6th grade, and if he invites me a Texas game I'm going to go.”
“Coach Diaz told me to get a video together and send it to him so he could watch it,” Robertson said. “I did, and he said he really liked it. He said he wanted to stay in touch with me, but we haven't talked about an offer or anything.”
“I'm solid with Oklahoma State right now,” Robertson said. “They were my first offer and I took it. Baylor offered me 30 minutes after I committed, and I kind of told them thanks, but no thanks."
“If I got an offer from Texas, it would be something I'd really have to think about,” Robertson added. “I'll keep listening to what they have to say, but for right now I'm going to stick with Oklahoma State.”

OL Caleb Benenoch says he will "most likely" be taking a visit to Baylor this weekend and it could be an official.
The latest with 2014 ATH Nick Harvey of Lancaster (24/7):
“I see they’ve bounced back pretty well and I think they’ll get more wins in the future,” said Harvey. “I really think they’ll be alright.”
“I talk to Texas almost every week,” Harvey told Hookem.com. “I talk to Mack Brown on Facebook and I talk to Coach (Bruce) Chambers every week too. We all have a good relationship. They call and talk to my head coach and they speak to me, so it’s all good.”
“I’m kind of open to everybody,” he said. “Texas A&M, LSU, Texas, Baylor, Houston and Virginia are the ones recruiting me the hardest though.”
“I want to make a decision going into my senior year, before the season starts,” he said. “When I decide it will come down to how the team takes me in first off. Also the relationship with the coaches will be a big factor and academics too.”
