It sure is nice to wake up and see Manning already had 5 dropped passes.
What the has happened to him?
QFT.
I would think that the AFC would be a little afraid of a Colts' team that won't be taking the last 2-3 games off at the end of the season. I'm starting to believe that this might just work to our advantage.

Bullitt is just awesome! That's two games saved because of him![]()
Those first five dropped passes were mostly the WRs faults... I know that one to Reggie on the first drive right before they settled for the FG was definitely a catchable ball.
If we beat San Diego, we run the table. Next three games after that are at Cleveland and then home against the Bengals and Lions. Hope SD wins today because they have a trend of winning a game and then losing two this season.
Oh yeah, today's win gave the Colts control of the first wild card spot in the AFC by virtue of their win over Baltimore earlier this year. Baltimore has the 6 seed WC spot.
Patriots are on the bubble but behind the Dolphins
Right now in the AFC its
1. ans
2. Jets
3. Steelers
4. Broncos
-----------
5. Colts
6. Ravens
I hope that holds because the Broncos are our es much in the same way that the Houston Texans are our es.
SD usually has the Colts number so "if" is right though SD is struggling more than usual this year. I thought they would beat Pittsburgh yesterday-they seemed to move the ball well then short circuit near the red zone.
But that Colts-Texans game looked exciting!
It's going to be an interesting game, no doubt. Both teams NEED to win it to win it to keep their playoff hopes alive. SD needs it a little more so they'll play tough, but the thing about SD this year is their D isn't as good without a decent pass rush, and without Merriman their pass rush becomes a lot more average. It's almost exactly like what happened to the Colts last year when Dwight Freeney got put on IR. Even with Bob Sanders having a DPOY season, they couldn't stop anyone when it counted because Freeney wasn't playing. Same thing's going on in SD right now.
On the other hand after playing like for the first half of the season, the Colts seem to have turned it around starting with the game against the ans. Even though they lost they felt like they should've won that game and they haven't lost since. I'm not counting out SD just yet but I'll take the Colts by a FG... and this time Vinatieri won't shank it.
Yeah, Melvin Bullitt and Tim Jennings are the defense MVPs so far this season with the Eraser and both of our starting CBs hurt. I have not been the biggest Jennings fan, in fact he was pretty ing ty last season, but he's made a lot of improvement in his coverage and tackling this season. Watch tape of last year's game against the Patriots and watch #23 up all day long... it was bad. He's having a good year so far.
Bullitt is going to be starting next to Bob next season if he continues to play this way. If he doesn't earn the starting job then we'll have the best starting safety in the NFL and the best 2nd team safety... not a bad deal if you're a Colts fan. He's playing out of his mind right now, and if he can keep up that level of play so Bob can get more rest during games then I'm all for giving him a bigger work load. Could use a little work in run support but that's about the only hole in his game. And it's only his second year, this kid has a lot of upside and the Colts are dumb if they don't hold onto him.
Not so fast. Ron Rivera had the D looking much much better vs Pitt last week. Ran a lot of stunts, sacked Rothlessburger 4 times.
You can still count on Norvron tho to have some vegged out offense with up the middle to LT ad nauseum.
Well if Bob Sanders doesn't play in this game you can expect the Colts defense to give up big plays to Tomlinson all day... Still like the Colts chances, last year when they played at Qualcomm they outgained the Chargers by over 200 yards and lost the game because special teams couldn't cover a ing kickoff and punt and Adam Vinatieri got possessed by the ghost of Mike Vanderjagt.
Holy did I call that or what
Good call, but saying Vinatieri will close the game on a FG is like saying Papelbon will come in and close a game for the Red Sox.
That 4th and 1 on the ing goal line was pathetic. Does Dungy not trust Addai to gain a yard?
Robert Mathis comes through with the fumble recovery touchdown and the big sack of Derek Anderson to put the Browns in 2nd and forever to seal the game.
The Bethea pick was just icing.
Did you see the soundbite where he was talking about not being used to carrying the ball?
haha It was pretty funny.
edit: But there was another quote about how he doesn't have the right technique for running with the ball. That quote was better.
It would be nice if he could just hold on to the @#$% ball.
Why do I miss all the blowout games? Overslept the Baltimore game (or call it a drug hangover either way I was sawwin' logs through that one) and I had to work today.![]()
I'm on course to miss at least part of this week's game because of work, so I'm sensing another blowout.
I also read somewhere that the Colts' D has allowed only 4 passing touchdowns all season, and the 16-game season record is 9. I smell a record that's about to be broken.
