It is said in Greek championship that Bourousis has serious offers from NBA and he will decide within 10 days if he will stay in Olympiacos or sign in NBA. Most serious team is Spurs.

He had a chance, a good chance, to be a Spur. He chose to use that opportunity to leverage more salary from his Greek club, which subsequently kicked him off the squad. I'm guessing that after being played by this clown, the Spurs wouldn't be too jazzed to even talk to his self-centered ass.

Talented 27 year old 280 pound 7 footers are welcome here in my book, I don't need them to be better players than Tiago Splitter, but on nights DeJuan Blair doesn't want to show up on defense against legit big men, it wouldn't hurt to have some more backup. Steve Novak and Chris Quinn have a roster spot on this team, I would think Bourousis is more talented than either of them, cut Novak and bring him in. Quinn is good to have so we don't have to give trash minutes to guys like Parker or Hill, but with Bonner back and healthy there's no point in keeping Novak around. He's like a star trash minutes player. I know a lot of you guys have a bone to pick with Bourousis, but it's not a big risk. If he doesn't work out, send his ass back to Greece.

Bourousis was kicked off of his team by his coach for a month. Rumors are that Bourousis is angry over this and that he may cancel his contract and head to the NBA.

So far, Bourousis was the most efficient player in the Euroleague per minute in stats for the year.

If the rumors are true that he might leave Olympiacos now because he is pissed off at his coach, then the Spurs should jump all over the chance to get him. He is much better than Splitter is or ever will be.

And he proved this year that he would be good for the Spurs because he outplayed Rasho Nesterovich all year long on Olympiacos, even despite playing half of the season so far with a broken right hand.

What games have you been watching? Rasho has outplayed him all season. When the game is on the line, Rasho is in the game and Bourousis is on the bench. There is a reason Rasho is playing more minutes than him. People here know how I feel about Rasho, but to be considered less clutch than him...

So, he is a better rebounder than Rasho- no shock- but he shoots worse, only scoring more per game because he takes more shots per minute. Rasho is also a better defender. I would think you of all would be thrilled with how well VSpan and Rasho play together.

I would also point out that trying to make a case for a 27 year old who thinks he is a star, comparing him to an almost 35-year old Rasho is not really the way to gain credit.

Most of all, why would the Spurs want a player who got kicked off his team? You really think Pop would not be on the phone to Rasho finding out why Bourousis got kicked off the team before the Spurs would even consider him? Note to players; do not piss off your Serbian coach.

Although the club's official press release says that the player will be sidelined due to an injury and the player will be training all alone in a try to re-regulate his metabolism the rumours in Greece insist that the decision was taken solely on disciplinary grounds.

Apparently Ivkovic was disconcerted with Bourousis behaviour lately and chose this way to send the player and the rest of the squad a strong message, not taking into account even the fact that the team will be missing a key player in the crucial games against Fenerbahce and Panathinaikos.
