It has everything to do with pride. Duncan is mostly a soft jumpshooter now. It doesn't matter what kind of compe ion he plays against...weak or strong he'll still lazily rely on that soft pussified jumpshooting game instead of the footwork and post moves he used to be known for. Honest fans on this board know what I'm talking about.

He has modified his game towards more jumpshooting because:
1) he has no lift any more,
2) teams are clogging the paint on him,
3) he's not getting any calls inside any more.

You are basically saying he's lost his compe ive spirit, which is complete horse . Duncan is a Warrior. If he had more help in the post he might be able to go inside more often.

Duncan is also shooting outside more to preserve his body for the Playoffs. He has the range, he can hit them. It was something he and Pop both said at the beginning of the season.

if you have a better perimeter defender to stop them, but so far you don't have a stopper like Bowen in your team yet...as long as the Spurs continue to be the best from the 3pt area this season, they have a chance.
