Michael Jordan 4-9 in playoff elimination games in his career.
He was a bum!
This is the level of posting that surely endears Spurs fans at SpursTalk to Laker "fans"; I mean Kobe fans
How will Spur fan survive if the Lakers win and Kobe gets his ring without Shaq?
THEY WILL BE DEVASTATED. THEIR ENTIRE PURPOSE IN LIFE, TO HATE ON BRYANT, WILL HAVE LITTLE VALUE.
i'll admit to that , but LA was the Spurs twice (and it ain't over yet), and that gives me enough satisfaction .

It hurts a little more because the Spurs fan base was split last year over who they didn't want to win a le, KG or Kobe. Probably about half didn't want KG to win one more than they didn't want Kobe to win one without Shaq. But, all of those who didn't want KG to win one shifted over to not wanting Kobe to win one once KG got his. So if it happens, that's two years in a row players they don't like will have taken the le. It's painful for them.
I understand it though. It killed me to see Jordan win a le. And, then he had to go up and win 6 of them in 8 years. It hurts to see a player you despise succeed. But, Spurs fans will be fine.
I actually want the Lakers to win a le because I like them and I like Kobe. But, the only thing that gives me hesitation is knowing how obnoxiously annoying Laker fans are and will be if it happens.
thank you ... only person that actually struck fear into Spurs fans + was responsible for Spurs' ownage was Shaq , who was ultimately the reason the Spurs lost all those times , and whose coattails Phil and Kobe road to three consecutive (but that's debatable) les .
2002 NBA WC Semifinals
The Spurs led going into the fourth quarter of all five games, yet were able to win only one.
Kobe Bryant would pace Los Angeles to two crucial victories in the Alamodome with 31 points in Game 3 and a go-ahead game winning bucket in Game 4, and would offset the steady production of Tim Duncan (who had a double double in all 5 games including 34 points and 25 rebounds in the series finale) with his fourth quarter heroics.
it was still Shaq who put Kobe in position to do all that , similar to how Gasol does now for him , although Shaq did it to a greater degree , obviously . plus , the rest of the team benefited more from Shaq than Kobe , namely Derek Fisher and Horry , who shot amazing percentages from three ... Kobe is an unbeilievable closer , but he has historically needed a big to play with for it to even matter (w/o one he just gives up ie against the Suns because they're not even within striking distance) , unlike Lebron , who can pretty much stay with any team while having trash for bigs .
there's a reason Kobe didn't to to SA once Shaq left , up until last year , but even then Manu was injured so SA didn't have the scoring to keep up with Kobe in the 4th.![]()

at your pathetic backtracking. You got OWNED little boy, now run along and go play with your Sean Elliott bobblehead.
Perv. lol little boy
Mingus with possibly 2 or 3 of the dumbest posts of the year. Shaq doesnt do without Kobe and kobe doesn't without Shaq. And neither win a le without Fox, Horry, Shaw, Fish, Harper etc.
Thats why its a TEAM game.
Same goes for your Spurs too.
It amazes me after all these years that people still post this drivel. Haters, they gotta hate....
Shaq doesn't do w/o Kobe ?
championship = ?!?!![]()
Did you even watch that series? Shaq hopped on D.Wades coatails to the championship and anybody who actually did watch knows it. So what are you going to say when Kobe ends up with 5 or 6 and Shaq with 4? Ohhh kobe couldnt do it without Gasol or something idiotic along those lines?
What a friggen moron.![]()
Shaq facilitated the offense for everyone else on those Lakers teams at a time when Kobe had no clue what team ball was and was strictly a scorer . Fish, Shaw, Harper , Fox , Horry - the guys you mentioned before - all played off of Shaq . Shaq orchestrated that offense , and gave Kobe the opportunity to mean anything in the 4th . when Shaq left , LA was for three years , until Kobe got better players and he became a better playmaker .
anyways , i never said one would win a ring without the other as the main guy on those Lakers teams , but ... Shaq w/o Kobe on those LA teams would be far scarier than Kobe without Shaq ... that's pretty much how i'd measure which was more important to his team . which is why i've been saying all along that Shaq was the guy every team worried about . he was the head of the snake .
Well, apparently you didnt watch too many playoff games with your onw team either because it was Kobe who owned the Spurs.
And what a revelation!!! The Center being the center of the offense!
Enough of YOU. How many times do we have to go down this path? Shaq was a great player on those teams. So was Kobe. They dont win squat without the other. Get over it.
i said this in another post :
" it was still Shaq who put Kobe in position to do all that (*meaning , take over in the 4th) , similar to how Gasol does now for him , although Shaq did it to a greater degree , obviously ."
Kobe is obviously more valuable to his team than Gasol because Gasol's impact isn't anywhere near Shaq's ... Gasol doesn't dominate the ball as much as Shaq , it runs mostly through Kobe . Shaq is only similar to Gasol in that Kobe probably wouldn't win w/o him , but at the same time there's no question his impact is less than Shaq's , and Kobe is the head of the snake ... you're assumption that i would say "Kobe wouldn't win without Gasol" is wrong ...
never said Kobe didn't play extremely well against the Spurs , or that they didn't need eachother in LA , but that doesn't mean they had a 50-50 share in the team success . Kobe was less important than Shaq . it was more like 60-40 or 70-30 . get over it .
LEbron didn't do to well in today's elimination game, now did he?
Jamstone laying down the smackdown!
Well OBVIOUSLY Lebron didn't take NOTES on how to play down the the stretch of a conference Finals
He wishes he did.
Kobe game 6: 35 points, 10 assists, 6 rebounds on 60% from the field.
