I've seen them in Murcia last week. This team badly needs Smodis. Without him, they're just not that talented. With him, a frontcourt of Lorbek, Smodiz, Nachbar and Lakovic firing bombs makes them the only team with a real chance of upsetting Spain based on talent. Erazek is looking real good for this stage of the season. But they need to start defending as they used to.

Anyway, as always Slovenia has to play against their own story. They'll very probably cruise in the groups stage and lose the first elimination game to Poland or Latvia.

Well to be honest as far as prep games went - Klobucar was > Vujacic.

Vujacic showed nothing in Spain. He didn't hit anything, had lots of turnovers, missed rotations on defense. I just thought he will get a few more chances, plus i never thought Zdovc will have the balls to cut him. He's also probably lost for Slovenian team in the future.

EDIT: Zupan got cut too, but that is no surprise, as he was brought in just as a training fodder when Smodis got injured.

I think the team missed my being in the thread. They'll rally now that I am home.

And for the record, my husband is a fan of Rasho and therefore supports the Slovenia NT. Bo has owned his own of Rasho's national team jersey since before we met and began dating.

Rumor goes that there would be a fight in the locker room, but Nachbar is to fat and slow to catch Golemac (to much space for him to escape). Now he is waiting for Jurica to go into some very small toilet and that is his chance, he can take him there. He'll sit on him till he suffocates.
