Like Cowher said on the post game, Norv Turner screwed that up royally with the onside kick.

You kick long, you have a chance to get it back with better field position, and Rex wouldn't have gone for it on 4th down deep in his territory.

Most of the home teams won convincingly until that last game....I was telling a friend all the home teams dominated but there will be one dud and I bet it's the Chargers. I had a feeilng the Jets would win for one reason: Norv!

I'm a fan of neither of these teams but I'll give Jets their due...they've taken care of business..no reason not to believe they can take it to the next step.
We'll see if the magic carpet ride continues or ends where it began......

As for the Chargers, what else is new???!!! All those straight victories...spotless record in December= squat if you can't win a playoff game on your home field w/all that talent...granted they don't run the ball well, defense is weak against the run....this game was theirs to win and they couldn't get it done.

It appears the layoff hurt rather than helped the Chargers....and not having the Colts as a playoff opponent. Last year, they played wildcard weekend and beat the Colts before losing to the Steel Curtain.
