Despite how solid Holland and Germany have looked, it really is starting to shape up that way. With that said, they aren't playing their best football by any stretch of the imagination, yet still dominating. Maybe that's what's so scary

I just still have some thought in the back of my mind that they always fall. And I also don't think they get past this team of Germany or this team of Argentina.
A Germany Netherlands final would be awesome, just because of the rivalry it would be epic!But, I do think Argentina is better and I think they will beat the Germans and eventually advance to the final though.

I think you're right. I was pissed at the time, but that snapped us back into reality that even a team will beat you if you're not on your game. Knocking out Portugal was huge as I thought Portugal might have been the third or fourth best team in the cup, but hopefully they're getting in that Euro 2008 groove where we just didn't give up anything and ground teams down. Hopefully enough Aragonez is still there.

Well, today netherlands choked the first 55mins, really badly. Offense sucking, defense bad, no flow in the game.
The lucky goal saved them or it would be the typical netherlands...Brazil doing the 2:0 and would be over. They won because Brazil choked even more in the 2nd half than Netherlands in the first half. Not because they was so good.
Im still not full sold on a "new era". Specially with again some minor intern stuff (van Persie vs coach etc).

I don't know a single mexican that will root for argentina. On the other hand, a few here admitted to jumping on the brazil bandwagon...
I wouldn't root for either. I'd root for Brazil over argie, though.
Once Mexico makes the annual round of 16 elimination, the next thing to cheer for is Argentina out, then Spain, and then France. After that, I want good games. I wouldn't cheer for a single team in South America over anyone.
I recall phenomenaul saying he was rooting for Brazil when Mexico got kicked out. That's why I said now they'realso that Brazil is gone too.
After Mexico is out i never root for Argentina or Brasil. My second choice for the past world cups including this one has been Holland. Then after that I just root for any underdogs.
