I personally want to see Nate "Darko the Human Victory Cigar" Robinson in the game as soon as possible. Thunder just looked like they gave up in the 3rd once the Grizz started making that ruun.....I can't see that happening on Sunday.
+1. Sad thing is, Nate could be so much more than a human victory cigar on any other team, he's actually a pretty good player, unlike Darko...

I'm actually surprised Nate isn't getting any run in OKC...he was pretty effective from the bench last year in the Finals IIRC.
The Nate line was a joking flashback to the Darko days in Detroit....Darko was balling in Minnesota this year by the way.

Nate was good/streaky for the Knicks but he was a constant spark for the Celts. The reason he's not getting ruun now, I think, is because when he came over to OKC he was coming off of a bad leg injury and it didn't really start to heal until the playoffs started when the rotations had already been set. Still not out of the question we might see him (look at the Teague situation in ATL) but in this series it's only going to be for garbage time which I'd like to see in a blowout for the Thunder Sunday.

Hopefully Brooks "unwraps" him by the end of the 3rd on Sunday.

I'm not surprised that you have your own reaction. I'm surprised by YOUR reaction
I imagine there'd be a range of opinion...how could there not be? So you're surprised not everyone shares your view.

Tbh i would trade Blair and George Hill for Darko.. one of the best one-on-one defenders in the league.. and a top 5 shotblocker. He's become very under rated.

Of course you are, but most guys on that team are hard nosed blue collar players who get it done on the defensive end and take credit as a team. I'm not saying you shouldn't hate them, just that I'm surprised you might, when in fact they are what the spurs somehow used to be.

They were somewhat like them. Except the Spurs back in the day weren't arrogant assholes and didn't foul with impunity like these heads do.

I'll state it again... I understand there might be a range of views regarding the grizzlies... I was surprised by your particular point of view.
For clarification purposes I wouldn't have been surprised if you stated you were still butt hurt about the spurs elimination, or that you haven't gotten over the fact that they tanked to get the spurs etc...

I can see Memphis taking the Mavs to 6 or 7 games and losing. I can see OKC taking the Mavs to 6-7 games and winning. Both teams match up well with Dallas. I would really like to see the Westbrook vs. Kidd matchup.

+1. Kidd basically got 2 "bye rounds" going up against aging, slow PG's in the 1st and 2nd rounds against Andre Miller and Derek Fisher. I wanna see how he would deal with Westbrook as well....

you should've seen what other teams' fans thought of Mario Elie, Bruce Bowen or even Manu Ginobili etc...
Also this is not new in the NBA that when you play hard nosed defense you get away with a few of those calls and the spurs did in the past.

True, but the Spurs leader (Tim Duncan) isnt anything like the Grizzlies leader (Randolph). I don't ever remember Tim dealing drugs, doing drugs, and getting DWI's...

Fixed. Kidd is a smart defender, but when Kobe allows the guy to stop him from getting to the rim at will there is a visible downtrend taking place in his game.

Maybe he would have if he was with the Jailblazers...
On a serious note it would be simplistic to say comparing these grizzlies to the spurs of old resides in comparing Randolph and Duncan.
Most stars would pale in comparison to Duncan's square personality

Tim's from the islands, plays video games, and likes to roll solo. If he ain't smoking Northen Lights #5, AK-47, or White Russian, I'd be shocked.

Maybe he is, but at least he keeps his private, unlike Randolph.

Good news. Series is going 7. Winner will be exhausted and lose quicker to the Mavs. I think Memphis will be the easier team.

Neither one will beat the Mavs anyway. I think OKC will be an easier out for them.

Well you'll have to excuse me. But those guys actually showed up then. So they are hardly arrogant.

The Grizzles are getting some help from the refs, not doubt. The Thunder turned it over like crazy. But, let's get real. The Thunder team is the superior team. They'll win game 7; it was determined that it would go to game 7 (the money is too good).

Back to the point. The Grizzles are arrogant and it's easy to be when you have some help.
