This just amazing. There are so many "if you told me Parker would be 1-5 for 3 points by the half....I'd tell you Jazz would be up by 10 or 12" type of stats in this game.

Parker 1-5 for 3 points
Duncan went 0-4 after hitting his first 4 shots.
Splitter 1-6.
7 assists on 17 made baskets (41% shooting overall).
Manu (1-3 FTs) and Tony (1-2 FTs) missing easy points.

Yet despite all of this, we're still on pace to break 100 and we're still up 8.

Pop making that Neal for Parker sub ignited the game the wrong way.

Yes as I stated Patty was the call there. I think Pop was figuring how bad could it be in a min or two, and we found out. Harris is quick and going all out, we can't have Neal on him.

We need to play better in the 2nd half, especially Tony.

We got 18FTA in the 1st half. I doubt we'll get that many calls in the 2nd.

We'll see if they get the calls or not, but they are going to the rim, which I like.

I like Patty. I still remember how solid he was before.

But if he's going to chuck and not play particularly good defense, we have Gary Neal for that.

wow I never felt so relaxed watching a spurs serie tbh I wouldn't be surprised if the players even in-conscientiously are loosing their focus a bit. I think Pop is going to remind them they have a job to finish

There's no way the Jazz would be up double digit no matter what, still the level of play is pretty concerning no matter what the scoreboard says.

Two stats on the stat sheet jump out at you.

7 assists. That's right 7. Spurs should have at least 10 to 14 every half.

38-33 Jazz starters - Spurs bench scoring.

If shots that didnt drop early go down in the second half, Jazz are toast. Big time toast.

We surely missed a bunch of easy shots we usually make and no way favors didn't foul on a few of those blocks. All that and we're still up 8. I think it's human nature to let down against team that you know are inferior. Halftime came at the perfect moment. We'll regain focus get this lead up and coast to the finish.

This guy needs to go up stronger! He went up strong only one time, dunk + foul. This laying it in gently off the glass every time is getting OLD.

I agree that the level of play is disconcerting, if understandable. Still, my fear would be that it will be difficult for the team to get in the right mindset for focus and crisp execution for the first game of the next series, and if they don't....we can lose HCA.
