If they wanna have any hope of salvaging this season, the Rangers need to win this series. If they actually wanna go for the Division, they'll need a sweep.
Watching this game, the A's just look like the superior team. Rangers look resigned to me.

They had enough power bats this season; what they need is clutch hitting. As for pitching, I have no idea what they can do. Darvish, Holland, Garza, and Perez/Feliz looked great on paper, but holy crap they all look terrible these days.
Keep this up and we ain't even making the ing playoffs...we need a turnaround...and NOW!
This. Clutch hitting is the #1 issue, by far.
Darvish was great today, but again they couldn't get a hit when it counted.
The Rangers have now lost 11 of their past 13 games. Talk about trying to play your way out of the playoffs...
The Angels vs Rangers series is gonna be fun...its the last 4 games of the season.

At least the Rangers' crapout this year is early and not like the last game of the season. The Rangers had their chance in 2011 but steroid boy Nelson Cruz couldn't make a catch and that was that. They had a good run but fell short. Did the Rangers get a flag for the Wild Card last year? They used to have pennants for their division les but got rid of those and put up stupid flags.
Huge 4 game series with the Rays coming up. I think this series will decide the Rangers' playoff fate.

Usually when the Rangers are down by 4 runs I truly believe that they can come back and win. Last night, I turned the game off when they got down because I knew it was going to happen...

what still baffles me is that this is a team that supposedly has such a great home field advantage, yet they are only 4 games above .500 at home, and still have the best road record in the MLB... wtf???
