Anyone else just see Kevin Ollie smack that Connecticut player in the face just now?![]()
Roll your eyes. Even writers from national media were calling the "fouls" on Tarczewski jokes.
San Diego State did three things well last night:
1. Had fans travel well
2. Rebounded misses well
3. Capitalized on ty reffing well
Once the rebounding was closer to even and the refs quit calling fouls on Tarc for looking at an opponant, it's not a surprise Arizona pulled away.
I respect the out of Fisher and Thames.
But to roll your eyes at Tarczewski picking up four fouls in 12 minutes of game play up to that point as if it had little effect on rebounding, inside defense is mindblowingly stupid.

yeah, that block was in clean. Both the MSU/VA, and Kentucky/Louisville games were very good.
But Kentucky gets all the calls
Louisville ed themselves by sucking ass at the FT line. Got to make them down the stretch.
My Elite 8 picks are looking pretty solid tbh; all but Duke and Cuze made it. Unfortunately I also had Duke in the Final Four...

Well I'm out, I had Iowa State winning it all in this bracket...
My only hope now is for Florida to save two of my other brackets
I have 5/8 Elite 8. Syracuse, Iowa State, and Louisville are gone.
Injury killed Iowa State. I actually made up a bunch of ground when Louisville lost because most ahead of me had Ville in the Final 4 or beyond.
Final 4 picks of Arizona, Florida... Michigan, Michigan State look good.
Metrics I have used have only failed me after injury (Iowa State) and the unavoidable, inevitable upset (Syracuse). Kentucky/Louisville was a coin flip for me. Cal owns Pitino, but Pitino owns Elite 8. I went with the veteran team. But their loss reaffirmed the SOS metric I used to oust Creighton/Wichita State early.
Sounds a lot like my logic, only I never bought into Iowa State.
Iowa State had the metrics. Needed health.
Wisconsin putting the fear of God into UofA...
Can't believe they called that...
He extended the off arm but that's a no call in that situation
I'm surprised they didn't get Gordon a look on either of the last few plays there. At this point, because I just don't like Wisconsin, I'd rather they get to the championship and loose in heart breaking fashion.
Three end game possessions, no timeouts. This is on Miller.
Apparently Arizona had no timeouts.
Whatever. If Nick Johnson leaves Arizona on a closing-seconds offensive foul and waived off attempt, then he has no pride in Arizona.
Welp, that'll do it for my bracket. Still have Florida winning it all but had Arizona in the le game.
I'm not sure why Kerr kept talking about Arizona taking a timeout when they didn't have any.
The only thing I really blame Miller for is not developing any kind of a bench/backcourt depth behind Johnson and McConnell. Other than that, this was an over-matched team with arguably its best player injured losing to a team with a lot more experience. The person I still blame the most is that got Grant Jerrett for choosing a 17k/year career in the D-league over being on a contending team this year. If this team had Jerrett w/ a healthy Ashley it would have steam rolled everyone.
