I went 0-1 today, I usually bet 3-5 games, but I generally avoid betting on week 1, it's too risky, you don't know how teams are going to look in the new year, tbh..
Raiders and Jets are a fade teams, as betting money on teams that are as bad as them is stupid and pointless..
Panthers was a fade bet, as well, but there was value there..the line jumped in Tampa's favor when Newton was out, because the public believes he has an impact on Carolina's success, when in reality, he has very little impact..so you have a playoff team from last year that relies on their defense(which is largely unchanged from last year) as the underdog against a non-playoff team with Josh McCown at QB..I wouldn't have bet on it, but there was value there after the line changed when Cam was announced out..
Browns game was just bad luck..I bet on Pittsburgh, too, they should have easily covered(they were up 27-3, it should have been over)..
