I agree with you. Playing like that will run him down to the ground. He may get just nagging bumps here and there. I don't think Pop will do that at all. Around 35 should be enough, and if we have too many blow outs even less minutes.
Just watched the game after Apalisoc posted the link. Was a fun game. Kawhi looks very comfortable out there, both being aggressive for himself and making the correct pass if his options are taken away. He did not try to do too much, and he had open shots created by ball movement and by Aldridge being double teamed. Good stuff from the starting lineup.
Aldridge missed some chippie ones right at the basket. It does seem that like he said some passes caught him surprised and maybe he rushed his shot. I liked that he made good passes out of double teams. I thought he had a good game, didn't dominate scoring, but promoted ball movement. He hesitated a couple times on a long jumpshot, seems like he was looking for a pass to others. To me it looks like he's still getting adjusted to the offense a little bit.
Second unit is kicking. Boban made an appearance at the end, and he was thrilling. I thought he was the best player in that last unit that Pop threw out there. That is good stuff, he seems to be getting a little bit more confident and didn't look timid like in previous games.
I liked Kyle and it was intriguing that Pop said they will play him at different spots, and that he makes others better. I agree with Chinook, it probably signals that Pop will find him playing time to help him develop and may not be relegated to Kawhi's backup. He may backup other positions for a few minutes. If he continues playing like he's currently playing, maybe 15 minutes this year is not out of the realm of possibilities for him, and more when the vets rest.

Pop will probably try to make sure h at least averages 34 a game.
The pop KA love-fest is the new Bonner love-fest. KA will play minutes whether he should be or not.
Oh, it wasn't me. It was ace3g. I'm not sure where they are from.
Watched the game finally. Not worried about Aldridge at all. He's figuring it out. He'll get plenty of shots.
My big takeaway, other than how great Ginobili looks, is Kyle Anderson. He looks like a real player with real fit in the second unit. I don't worry about him much now. Plus he impacts the game in many ways. By the end of the season he could be a big asset off the bench.
