that defense ... Hawks are no slouches like many of the other teams we faced so far ... hopefully there si not too much complacency in the third quarter because of that big lead
They have been playing pretty poorly, as of late, tbh..to be fair, though, there aren't many teams playing well in the NBA right now

    Wow 31 -12 quarter.

I think everyone should take a second and just be thankful for how spoiled we are to watch the Spurs. Years ago, we worried about the Lakers. Then Dallas, Phoenix. Then came the Lakers again, then the Thunder, and Miami. Now the new golden boy is Golden State. What has been the one constant in all this? Spurs playing elite/playoff relevant basketball.

We haven't won every chip, but as Manu says, "we always have a shot". So now we have 5. I will cry when Pop retires. (And Duncan/Manu).

Kawhi is great, but Lebrons overall court vision and passing skills still surpass Kawhis defensive impact ... Kawhi will improve in that regard and then watch out League
I much prefer Kawhi at this point, while Lebron is supremely gifted, he no longer has the impact on both ends he used to have and where Kawhi is an absolute beast. But to me, really is character.

Lebron is the supreme uncoachable diva. I take Kawhi.

Yea that is not on the MVP voting. lol

No matter what you think of LMA, he's playing. Huge upgrade over the oft-injured Tiago. Feel almost a little guilty. Like we sold Atlanta a lemon.

    Seriously, get well Tiago.

Yeah, different skill sets, but comparable skill levels, and totally contrasting characters. I'll take our coachable, cool assassin!

good stuff ... cannot disagree with that ... its just like before the season Kawhi was Top 10 ... 2 weeks after season start he is Top 5 ... and now he is better than Lebron ...

You are a fggn blind man if you can't see he is better.

Shame on FSSW for relaying Pops quotes.
He's been better offensively. Defensively, he's still a traffic cone.

what a little dirty move. Paul seeking contact on a big man running, might have been like a small tackle. then davis gets hit with the foul, plus he's injured. wow

The Hawks rank fourth in the NBA in offensive efficiency. They have 37 points at halftime against the Spurs.

Eh, they got him for free. That's a pretty solid deal, even if it's 60 games worth... a starting quality NBA center with a decent contract for nothing? I'd take it if our positions were reversed.

Keeping this updated: The Spurs have allowed less than 50 points in 15 of 17 first halves this season. Have allowed sub-40 eight times.
