Leonard 4-6 in the first quarter and no attempts in the second. I know a couple others were scoring but it's inexcusable to go 4, 5, 6 minutes without an attempt. A couple times he was double teamed and passed back out. But mostly they can't even get the ball to him.

Kawhi and Simmons have had great chemistry almost from the get-go.

I agree. I had seen it a couple of games, but not enough to think things would not get all muddled up for Kawhi inside without a shooter. Simmons just really changes the dynamic when paired with Kawhi specifically bc Kawhi gets so much attention already and Danny or others were not able to capitalize on that like he can. Have to give him props TBH.

Much more dynamic duo... mmm thinking maybe the two of them could be a thing and I wasn't convinced b4.

They are DOUBLING Kawhi & Simmons is taking advantage. Porker wouldn't have established Kawhi in the 1st quarter to warrant a double team.

After Simmons got in, its another dynamic. Can't argue against that. He is just spectacular in transition, and Kawhi gets so much attention that lanes just open up for him. Wonder how Pop will treat what he saw this game. Secret weapon lineup?

I hope so...its a PHENOMENAL lineup defensively and dare i say it, athletically. But the only "issue" i see is the same i feel keeps this team from its apex and thats that it is still lacking in 3 pt shooting through the lineups. But so far we've made it work.

Well against athletic lineups I agree. This is a really good sign for the Spurs...I think Pop found a lineup that could help against the Warriors if needed. Manu Simmons LMA Kawhi Boris.

I am thinking its something that you want to use strategically. Same way we don't run and gun like GSW do all game, controlling pace is important at times. But when our shots are not falling, and you need a jolt you can go to it.

If we had them play together most of the time, it would not have the same effect I think.

Yeh if he worked with Chip on his shooting and leaned some defense from Leonard and Green, he could hold some real value.

Simple. Boban camps out in the paint (getting one foot out every 3-4 seconds or so to avoid illegal defense) and waits to get a block or rebound. If Henson wants to fill up on jumpers, let him.
