sure man
Kawhi has at least 10 years of his career left if he stays healthy and doesn't have any chronic or degenerative problems. Manu is near retirement and Tony won't be too far behind.
sure man
LMAO @ the Ricky Bobby tweet.
LMAO @ Hector trying to say every black athlete voted for Trump.
I would rather see Kawhi in a Spurs uni for the rest of his career but I'm also OK with officially closing the era and tanking. Losing sucks, but there's something exciting about starting over and the writing is on the wall about the Spurs era coming to an end.
Man is going to be collecting checks until he's 50.![]()
So you've made it clear what you are, now we are just haggling over the price.

The forum is a microcosm of society. Like a school of fish, just a hint of a suggestion can bend the opinions of "staunch fans" away from someone who they purportedly support through thick and thin.

Your avatar sucks
Good stuff. Skip flexes his knowledge on the Spurs.
Good watch.![]()
It was on his twitter account at some point last year. I can't find the posts anymore - as it appears he took the one I'm remembering down. Dewayne is pro-life, pro-guns, is an ardent believer, etc... Pop is not. Given today's polarizing climate and given the fact that most conservatives face vitriol and backlash for voicing unpopular opinions it's no wonder that folks are now keeping such comments to themselves. Athletes (and other high profile folks) have been excoriated and demonized for voicing support for Trump. Your own mocking condescension in this thread is proof of the mob mentality that ensues at any such mention of Trump (or support for his policies) [it even brought Chumpdumper out of the political forum... next thing we know and boutons will take over the thread]. There is a reason I don't post in the liberal cesspool known as the Political Forum anymore. To quote Reagan, "Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn't so".
Dewayne's Twitter handle: Dewayne Dedmon (@d_dedmon3)
As for David Lee, he was wearing a MAGA hat or shirt (can't remember which). Pop is easily triggered these days. Speculative? Sure, but not entirely out of the realm of possibility that they clashed on the matter. I still contend that Lee is a better player than Joffrey... but whatever
tbh, I just want Kawhi to play. I'm still hopeful.
Really? So Pop benched Dedmon because he voted for Trump but played David Lee who also voted for Trump. Lol. That doesnt make sense especially considering Lee retired. He didnt come back because of his injury and wanting to retire. If he did another team would have certainly made an offer. This trumper victim card is played out man
Agreed he's reaching for straws with his loony conspiracy theories.
Damn good on the info.
I wonder how many specialists he went to in addition to the ones mentioned. If true about the radiology report bit, I'd take it with a grain of salt especially given the fact that it's tendon fiber in question. You could put ten specialists/radiologists in a room and give them five MSK images, they would agree and disagree some on the reading.
Skip is arguably the most insider of prominent media members, so this scares me as a Spurs fan.
I expect Kawhi to decline the offer this summer. THAT will probably be like a nuclear bomb detonation going off in this place.
that. Spurs ain’t offering .
The more and more Kawhi stays silent on this and fails to address the situation, the more I am personally inclined to side with that sentiment.
Proof is in the pudding. PATFO didn't bring either back.
David Lee healed from his injury, much like Parker healed from his... he was forced to retire, however, because the Spurs didn't want him back - and then he posted that he wanted more time with his girlfriend so he leaned towards retirement. It worked out for him.
Had the Spurs made an offer (none that I know of to my knowledge) I'm certain Lee would've taken it. BECAUSE again, he is likely still a better player today than Joffrey.
LOL Trump "victim" card... Pop is triggered about anything related to Mr. Orange Head Narcissist. He can't help it. Your own projections of Pop's objectivity on such matters are negated by his very vocal, and constant need to call Trump out on everything his administration does. Pop even admitted he "cried for the nation, and was sick to his stomach" when Trump won the election. Why even admit such a thing if you didn't have strong feelings about it? You and other folks in this thread are in clear denial that the animus and polarization brought about by Trump's presidency HAS affected every public square, and every facet of our society - the NBA at large or the Spurs' Organization are no exceptions. Tensions are heightened beyond repair - CIVIL discourse has been replaced with bullish spite. But yeah, let's all claim that Pop's clear hatred for DJT DOESN'T affect any of his interpersonal relationships. He's gone off the deep end in his zeal to be a spokesperson for the 'resistance' movement. He clearly likes that role, otherwise he wouldn't continue to bash ad infinitum.
AS for the dynamic that led to Lee and Dedmon's exits, I clearly said it was all speculative - But I also said, that such a scenario was not entirely out of the realm of possibility (given Pop's behavior).
Apparently he just saw the one specialist in New York, but multiple times. Guessing Kawhi's uncle has instructed him not to talk, possibly even pursuing other avenues for that big money in the offseason instead of settling for HEB commercials. Probably lost all faith in our medical staff which would mean he's at odds with Pop. Out of character for Pop to comment on Kawhi like that on pure speculation. Sounds motivated. Only Kawhi can provide the answers at this point, because everyone else has certainly put their opinion in the hat.
The question is, when Kawhi ends up somewhere else, after the game will Pop grope him like he does everyone else he pretends to like? Or will it be a cold "sup" head nod?
Kawhi losing faith in a medical staff that like others has him cleared to play![]()
If this politics nonsense was legit, Sean wouldn't be employed by the team and doing broadcasts.
Don't forget Sean campaigned for and raised money for W.
I only support:
1) Players that want to be here and
2) the franchise itself.
If Kawhi isn't feeling it, let him go.
I wouldn't mind picking early, to be honest. Only reason we were relevant after D-Rob got old is because we were lotto at the exact right time.
Ultimately, long-term, the culture is the only thing that has to remain.
