You should change your team allegiance, tbh.
although i took them in the pickem thread (homer special), i'm struggling to really envision a scenario where the raiders don't get manhandled tonight. not sure how lynch is going to have sustained success against donald/suh, and carr has never played well against peters/talib. and on the other side, cooks has roasted the raiders for a couple years in a row, and not sure how we account for gurley after having traded out best run defender
raiders only hope is that their high-priced OL controls the rams high-priced DL... and that's going to be an issue for a few reasons
a) hudson/osemele should hold up ok, but gabe jackson has been an above average player who has been paid to be an elite player. he's going to have his fair share of snaps where he has to block donald/suh without a double. i dont think he's good enough to deal with that
b) penn at LT had been one of our strengths, too, but for some reason the staff has been -bent on moving him to RT (where he has struggled so far) and starting the first round rookie at LT (who has also struggled). our line SHOULD have been good at one tackle spot (left with Penn) and mediocre at another (rookie at right)... but instead now both tackle spots are questionable
on the other side, getting pressure on Goff without Mack seems like a tall order, and we'll be relying on 3 rookies to do it... Hurst/Hall on the interior and Arden Key outside. bruce irvin on the other side should be fine, but he's no game-wrecker.
it could be ugly. need carr to play his ass off like its 2016
Lol buffalo
But the got Gruden. GRUDEN!
... even if the first round picks work out, the timing of the trade was nonsensical. either trade him prior to the draft, so we can make immediate use of the extra draft pick and the cap space to help the squad... or have mack play out the season, franchise tag him, then trade him ahead of next year's draft. in scenario one we at least get some instant help to fill the void. in scenario two you still have mack on the field and add talent before the start of the next season.
instead we have no mack, and no immediate relief. amateurish move. but let's see what they do with the first round picks + how they upgrade the roster with the money that would have gone to mack. do we pay leveon bell next summer (dont see lynch returning yet again)? earl thomas? no clue. only guy on the roster who has money coming is way is amari cooper, and they'll wait on his performance this season before making that call
Holy a pic 6 on your first play everhas that happened before? Or maybe at least for someone this high profile? Odds are it has, I've definitely never seen it.
This broadcasting team sucks. I'm missing Romo on the mic![]()

lol refs making sure the game is close, gifting the Jets a TD with that non-catch catch
How does this even happen? They're egregiously bad and boring. This is MNF.
i muted it![]()
Think I'm about to join you on that one. Might have a setting on my receiver where I can hear the on field sounds but not the broadcasting team.
Edit: Yes I found it. God bless systems and the receivers that power them.
Darnold!! That was a beautiful throw.
On a second look could definitely have been picked. Great catch as well.
good for Darnold bouncing back strongly from that 1st play pic 6.
I still don't understand how Matt Patricia got a head coaching job..he wasn't even a good coordinator, doesn't make any sense..
Building your team around Matt Stafford
Maybe he does his usual 1-possession win against a bad team, but I don't know why these teams give out massive contracts to QBs with minimal impact..
, that's what basically all but 5 or so QBs are in the league currently. The NFL is in a sad state.
Matt Patricia's defense![]()
Jesus, Stafford is so badhow can you justify paying these scrub QBs so much $?
Better or worse than Dak?
When do u predict Swag Kelly gets his chance to shine iyo
