Not much to be done though. Of the peeps who get playing time, Patty is the only one who can give us any sort of volume from the 3.
Pop won't play Devin much for some reason and he has the best potential from 3 outside of Mills.
And DJ had 9pts tonight and 9pts in the Hornets game. Wtf? Without Aldridge, DJ should be really averaging in the high teens.
Uncompe ive struggle by the spurs. Played in a crowd all game . On defense, Spurs couldn't stop any of their main guys who took turns scoring the open three or drive'n dishing . Kawhi had it easy.
He was losing focus too often during this game. Taking shots out of rhythm. Lazy passing. Lack of aggressiveness. Maybe he was intimidated by Kawhi or felt pressure to perform.
Face it we are not a very good team only way to get better is to tank hard the next two years and hope we draft well - I have high hopes with DJ, Vasell, Keldon, and Luka -
Keldon was another player who played disappointingly. Got lost on defense. Getting in other player's way. Forcing a drive. This was a game where the young guys looked young. Vassell wasn't impressive either.
And you can add Johnson here. I love Keldon's motor, but unless his 3pt is consistent, I would rather put Luka at starting PF for spacing and better rim protection.
Keldon can either play SF and put Demar at SG, or Keldon play as 6th man Manu role. It's just better spacing and rim protection with Luka vs Keldon.

Pop to Kawhi: You were honed from the best, Homie.
Yeah, I think next year will definitely see some growing pains but if they can fight through I think they all will be better players for it. Some times you gotta take a few steps back in order to go forward and that is what next year will be. I am excited to see the young guys grow and hopefully become the players we want them to be and if they win good and if they loose I am OK just as long as they keep growing
I was about to say this was inaccurate bc the Philly game was on the road, and then I remembered the dual annihilation by Memphis. DeRozan first and last season here will be noted for multiple 30pt hammerings.
Spurs bubble performances were mostly with Keldon off the bench as a hustling bulldog, and Lonnie spreading the floor with DeRozan at PF.
Might be worth going back to. Or Keldon at bench 3 with Samanic at bench 4. etc etc
Either way, let Keldon be in attack mode against bench players, not 'watch mode' for DeRozan-Murray-White.
He said he patterns himself off of KD...I think we should play him like that instead of automatically making him a PF/C because of his size...let his size be an advantage like it is for KD and make him a SF primarily...clearly he can keep up defensively with wings...
He has been playing back to backs
Nah...this is who he is...has been like this since Toronto...we weren't the ones that came up with the name Defrozen
