The silver lining is we are able to hang with the better teams in the NBA.
The frustrating part is we consistently find ways to the bed in the 4th quarter.
The best player on their team shot like 30% against us and they still whooped our ass by 14

What do all of their players have in common? They can shoot the ball.
Just Smart and Ja are below 33% if we exclude Edey and Clarke, non-shooting bigs.
They have 5 players shooting 35-39% on at least 4 attempts per game and they have 3 players above 40%.
The issue with our front office is that they think everyone can be a versatile role player and they often think they'll develop their shot.
Castle is worth taking because he's great at so many other things and then we can hope he becomes a decent shooter.
Others aren't worth it. Just get ing players that can shoot the ball, it's 2025.
Yea Wemby's offensive ceiling is going to be seriously limited if this is going to be how he plays basketball his entire career. I'm hoping as he ages and his frame starts to fill out that he'll more of an inside threat, but it's also just not really his game. Dude just really wants to play like a guard at all times and it's ing annoying. Adding a simple jump hook to his repertoire would do wonders for both he and the team.
He doesn't get an F. He did well attacking the basket and making things happen.
The Tre Castle Keldon lineup was diabolical, esp with Wemby struggling shooting tonight
Exactly. Our management is totally or at the very least soft and indecisive. We could have similar results but our coaching staff is so soft vs the players. They don't seem to jump anyone's ass or tell them their roles.
At any case, I still am expecting a split but wouldn’t really be surprised if we get blownout by 20 the next game.
I’m not even surprised anymore. What’s gonna be annoying is being stuck with the 12th seed and the front office being conservative about making moves.we need our 500 draft picks.
Memphis outcoached us, notice how in the second half Edey didn't even play. They played a spacer big and they cooked us inside.
I'm a half full type of person. We would be killing it if this was 1995.
Yeah, we ing need Manu as our Coach next year. Not just Manu but Tim and TP on the bench. There's potential. Dammit Pound the rock tbh.
Since we're talking about coaching staff, Grizzlies got Tuomas Iisalo to help them with their offense.
Young Finnish coach who won EuroCup, Champions League and French Cup over the past years while basically being a D'Antoni fanboy.
Grizzlies were never in top10 in 3pt attempts or makes since Jenkins got there.
This season they're 11th and 1st in pace.
When was the last time Spurs got an impactful assistant from anywhere, not just abroad?
Instead we have Brett ing Brown as lead assistant.
Spurs front office starting to look a lot like my Cowboys![]()
Ugh who are we, right? Everyone has bad games. At least he's still dominant on the defensive side.
I'm way more pissed that the ing Hawks G league team beat the Bulls in Chicago tonight tbh![]()
I’m not real worried about Wemby he was playing out of his mind on offense now coming back to earth. He needs a little more size and confidence to score consistently inside but he’s smart enough to figure out that’s where the easy money will be made and the 3 PT game needs to be the gravy on top when he’s on and dialed down when he’s not.
I’m forced to scoreboard watch Memphis games because of the idiotic blackout rules. 12 point lead after the half and next time I check, down 14 with a couple minutes to go. What happened?!
One coach game in with a game plan you could see, the other made subs utions. Mitch gotta learn how to stop the rot, at least sometimes.
This game exemplifies WHY Wemby needs to shoot. Against teams like Memphis that have elite defensive bigs it opened the lane for players like Castle and Keldon (who had the best offensive games on our team, huh what a concept) which kept us close until we failed to make defensive adjustments in the second half.
Wemby obviously struggled tonight but hey tough shooting nights happen to everybody, he was very active everywhere else though. I wish y'all would stop trying to pidgeonhole Wemby into being a back you down player when he literally doesn't have the frame to do that.
In the first half Memphis played Edey so Wemby was able to patrol the paint.
In the second half, they didn't play him at all and instead played huff, who's a lights out 3point shooter. This took wemby away from the paint which allowed them to score at will in the second half.
Huh. Sounds like a nice strategy. If only our guys had a counter
If only indeed
Saw that coming a mile away tbh. Hawks are still better without Young.
