ethnic cleansing and federal violence are bad for business
https://www.cnbc.com/2026/10/07/ice-...economies.htmlCities where immigration raids took place in 2025 experienced a nearly 3% decline in weekly foot traffic and a more than 6% drawdown in spending, according to an analysisfrom University of Pennsylvania professor Zeke Hernandez. (No one with the surname Hernandez mentioned in this article is related to one another.)
Collectively, he found that resulted in around 8 billion fewer visits and billions of dollars worth of lost spending in those places that year.
ICE has no authority to police elections nor to investigate nonprofits based on zero derogatory information
https://truthout.org/articles/ice-ha...d-of-midterms/Democracy Forward, which obtained the ICE do ents through the Freedom of Information Act, said records from the agency’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) branch underscore how the Trump administration is “using the power of the government to try to silence eligible voters and prevent them from accessing the ballot.”
The 166-page do ent that ICE turned over to Democracy Forward shows that HSI has considered sending undercover agents to investigate nonprofit organizations accused of illegally registering noncitizens to vote. President Donald Trump and his allies have repeatedly and baselessly claimed that noncitizen voting is a significant problem in the US.
HSI admits in one of the newly released do ents that its “review” of more than 40 nonprofits in New Jersey uncovered “no derogatory information.”

ICE's extreme and violent tactics are going to get their own agents hurt or worse
https://www.nydailynews.com/2026/10/...-in-the-bronx/Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents shot and wounded a man in a car on a bustling New York City street Thursday afternoon, narrowly missing a 5-year-old boy who was seated in the vehicle’s backseat and sparking a heated confrontation between the feds and outraged citizens, officials said.
ICE agents opened fire on the silver Honda Civic at about 4 p.m. on Marble Hill Ave. near W. 225th St. in the Bronx. The shooting victim was in the SUV when he was hit, according to sources.

There have been at least 30 shootings involving DHS officers during the second Trump administration, according to a CBS News analysis
During one heated exchange, more than a dozen people grabbed and pinned a masked ICE agent against a wall when he got too close to the police tape lining the scene.
“Take the mask of P—-!” the residents screamed.
NYPD officers swooped in and rescued the agent, pulling him back behind the tape as federal agents created a blockade line.

ICE runs over man who wasn't their investigative target
https://abc7.com/story/ice-runs-man-...-say/19930189/Surveillance video obtained by our Houston sister station, ABC13 shows the moment an unmarked SUV carrying U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents ran over a man during a pursuit at a shopping center in Texas on Saturday.
The video out of west Harris County shows a white pickup truck stopping along Clay Road, facing oncoming traffic. Two men get out of the truck. One runs toward Highway 6, while the other, identified by ICE as Miguel Parra-Hernandez, runs through a shopping center parking lot.
Moments later, a dark, unmarked SUV turns into the parking lot and runs over Parra-Hernandez.
A witness who spoke with ABC13 on the condition of anonymity said he saw the incident unfold.
"He said, 'Ah! Ah! Ah! You broke my leg! You broke my leg!'" the witness recalled.
The video shows Parra-Hernandez remaining on the ground for several minutes after he was struck.
The footage also appears to show an ICE agent getting into the pickup truck Parra-Hernandez fled and moving it into the shopping center before leaving in another unmarked vehicle.
"I believe ICE agents moved it before we got there," HCSO Major Anthony McConnell said.
ICE alleged in a statement that "Parra-Hernandez ran in front of an ICE vehicle and was struck."
ABC13 reached out to an ICE spokesperson, who said agents were attempting to arrest Jose Mendoza-Cervantes, who was their intended target.
On Saturday, Harris County Attorney Abbie Kamin issued a statement regarding the incident, stating in part:
"Time is of the essence in getting the facts, and the public deserves clear, accurate answers.
ICE must cooperate fully with the local investigation. My office supports Sheriff Ed Gonzalez and District Attorney Sean Teare in their ongoing independent investigation, and the Harris County Attorney's Office stands ready to assist and support these critical efforts. We will continue to monitor developments closely as the facts become clear."

ICE tries to cover up its crimes
ttps://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/texas-da-says-ice-intentionally-hit-immigrant-car-may-withheld-evidenc-rcna603243Videos collected by local investigators make it “pretty obvious” that an ICE officer intentionally ran over Miguel Parra Hernandez during an immigration stop Saturday, which could lead to assault charges, the district attorney said Tuesday.
“This was an intentional striking and running over of the person by the vehicle, and in that case, that is an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Texas,” Harris County District Attorney Sean Teare told NBC News.
Teare said the federal government is not cooperating with the investigation conducted by his office and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. He also said ICE may have allowed the erasure of critical data in the vehicle involved in striking Parra, who was on foot.

ICE robs detainees
https://www.courthousenews.com/aclu-...after-release/The Trump administration faces a challenge to the apparent refusal by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to return personal items to individuals held in and subsequently released from immigration detention.
The American Civil Liberties Union filed the class action in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, seeking an injunction to order the government to return wrongfully held items — such as work authorization papers and wedding bands — and halt any further withholdings.
According to the ACLU, ICE has a de facto policy of holding onto the personal property of individuals detained following civil immigration arrests “long after any legitimate governmental interest in the property has expired.”
