Why dont you look at his stats in Dallas in the early to mid 90s and try to compare the two again
I don't believe you are right. That way of having only one foot out of bounds happens every game and is never called. I believe the ref thought that Ellis was out of bounds when he made the first pass, when he actually wasn't. Unless there is a rule about passing the ball back and forth before you take it out of bounds and pass it in then I'm at a loss.

Elson is my favorite.![]()
Game 6...I was there...when he and Kerr broke our hearts...![]()

You guys have those?
That must have been a rough game to be at
You're right. He's far superior. No question about it.
Sorry, but you are completely wrong. It was a bad call. 100 percent. I rewound and watched it a couple of times. Nobody was standing out of bounds. He had both feet in bounds, tossed it to his teammate, stepped out of bounds and got the ball back to throw it in. It looked awkward but there was no violation.
This is sarcasm, no?
...with 2 guys in Manu jersey's sitting in front of me...
2 in one day...wtf?
I didn't see the violation either...I can see why it was confusing to the ref though...it happened quick and looked really odd...
Yeah, he should have just taken the ball out of bounds; there was no need for the extra pass. That's part of players having a high basketball IQ. You don't try to draw a charge in certain situations because you are forcing the ref to make a call. You don't try a jump stop in certain situations because you might get called for a travel. You don't throw the ball back and forth before inbounding it because the official may not be looking at your feet.
Comparing FT attempts if ing worthless if you're trying to make the point that the Mavs are being favored by the refs, you dip ...![]()
Buck Rogers only posts up to complain about officiating. I still agree with his conclusion.
And the only thing stupider than BR crossposting this idiocy is someone crossposting the exact same response.![]()
True, but hasn't this been discussed in one (or 20) of the other 72 threads?
The league is handing out game 2 of a first round series against the Warriors? Makes sense.
I don't know why we should give a what the refs do in Dallas unless we are playing them. From what I saw, GS was just jacking up threes and errant jumpers. Dallas was actually being agressive, unlike they had been for Game 1 and the first half of Game 2. There were bad calls against GS, but its called homecourt people. Get used to it, it's never going to change.
Wow...a Spurs fan admitting that Dallas drove to the rim a bunch in that game...THAT is the main reason for the FTA difference...
Yes, Virginia, there are intellectually honest Spurs fans. It's funny, I'm not paying any attention to the Nuggets-Spurs, I fully expect San Antonio to win in 6 and then take care of Phoenix. Meanwhile, TPark and Aggiefan are beside themselves that the Mavericks GASP, actually won a game, something that has already happened 67 times previously, and we have 18 million threads devoted to whining about how the refs gave them the game -- no mention of Golden State's 24 turnovers, or their poor shot selection, or getting outrebounded, or Davis, Harrington and Richardson no showing, or the lack of interior defenders on their roster, or the fact that the Mavericks attacked the basket instead of settling for jumpers, or any of the other reasons why Dallas deserved to win and Golden State deserved to lose.
The Mavs had a stupid smallball strategy in Game One, didnt execute and got outplayed. Pure and Simple. They made necessary adjustments, executed better, and won Game Two. Also pretty simple. And yet the Spurs homer trolls just want to talk about Bennett Salvatore and drag their knuckles, breath through their mouths and scream about "bandwagon fans" and "trolls" and "Bennett Salvatore." It's embarrassing
Let's just not worry about all that so much...![]()
I don't have the tape. I was going by what Reggie Miller said.
It's nice to know that Spurs fans are hanging their hats so much on GS that you'd go look that up just to prove me wrong, though.
User (who originally asked the question) & I also rewound that several times last night and aside from how odd it looked, couldn't see the violation. It really had nothing to do with you.![]()
Mavs fans definately have a Napoleon complex.
