Manziel is supposed to announce his NFL Draft status at 1:30 p.m.
OrangeBloods reporting this morning that a source informed them Saban has already started the vetting process to see what kind of coaching staff he could put together at Texas.
No. No. No.
Pray to Zeus, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and Cheesus.

Longhorn Football @UTexasFootball SOURCES: Nick Saban has an 8 year, $85 million offer from Texas. The deal will be finalized after Mack Brown's resignation Friday afternoon.
------------
Don't know how credible this is, but falls in line with what Inside Texas has been saying all along.
I don't know how much truth there is in this, but I read the contract itself was only 7-8 million a year for 6 years with a 2 year option but there was a 20 million signing bonus kicked in by the big money men off the books that makes up for some bad investments. That is the part Bama can't match right now. They can equal him in contract but not in the signing bonus.
kbohls @kbohls
Texas prez Bill Powers, AD Steve Patterson to meet with Mack Brown late this afternoon.
I would hope this is to arrange how the announcement will be made tomorrow at banquet.
Pretty funny read...

Mack is/was in Beaumont today to see CB/S Tony Brown and then he's off to Longview to see WR Dorian Leonard and DT Zay-Coven Henderson.
RUMOR
More from Inside Texas...they are hearing that Mack will step down in a press conference on Saturday because he wants Friday night's banquet to be about the 2013 team and the seniors. They are expecting Saban to be announced as the new head coach on Monday or Tuesday. One rumor they're hearing is Red McCombs hosted Saban last night for dinner, but the location wasn't specified. Lastly, a new transfer candidate to keep in mind is QB Max Staver of Florida (originally from Tennessee).
Any talk of a QB transfer is welcome news, even if it's from a school with absolutely no offense. I'm not sure what is going to happen with Ash but he is one hit away from being janitor of my old middle school. If he comes back I hope he knows what he is risking. With that said, the prospect of turning the offense over to Swoops is dismal to say the least. He isn't ready and one off season won't make him ready.
Also from Inside Texas, UT offered JUCO S Kenny Iloka of Tyler JC today.
Iloka says it's a "game-changer."
if he is half as good as the last kenny we had back there he will be twice as good as everybody we put back there this year
I haven't even watched his film and I think he should start over M. Thompson.
If he's anything like his older brother, he'll be a beast, tbh.....
I don't know who reported first, but most are now agreeing that Patterson and Mack will meet tomorrow.
Sounds like it.
Per 24/7, we have a surprise official visitor on campus today. JUCO RB Tyreek Hill of Garden City CC (same school as QB Nick Marshall last year) has already arrived. He's been committed to OK State since September and let's just say he's really, really fast.

Saban has apparently inked a new deal with Alabama
I vote for Briles or Gundy
How about Mack Brown .
