Only thing more American than socialized costs and privatized profits is watering the tree of liberty with the blood of dead children every few weeks at their schools.

    COVID is neurotropic

Here we show that fibrin binds to the SARS-CoV-2 e protein, forming proinflammatory blood clots that drive systemic thromboinflammation and neuropathology in COVID-19. Fibrin, acting through its inflammatory domain, is required for oxidative stress and macro e activation in the lungs, whereas it suppresses natural killer cells, after SARS-CoV-2 infection. Fibrin promotes neuroinflammation and neuronal loss after infection, as well as innate immune activation in the brain and lungs independently of active infection. A monoclonal antibody targeting the inflammatory fibrin domain provides protection from microglial activation and neuronal injury, as well as from thromboinflammation in the lung after infection. Thus, fibrin drives inflammation and neuropathology in SARS-CoV-2 infection, and fibrin-targeting immunotherapy may represent a therapeutic intervention for patients with acute COVID-19 and long COVID.

We discovered SARS-CoV-2 hijacks our coagulation cascade, and interferes with our clotting proteins, making them very inflammatory and damaging to the body and brain.

I got to give credit to hater for calling this in January of 2020. This thing was totally off the radar in the US at that time -- nobody was taking it seriously here.

we do know that masking and social distancing were very effective in preventing the flu in 2020

apparently, that and acquired immunity were enough to eliminate a whole strain of flu -- Influenza B/Yamagata

This year’s flu shot will be missing a strain of influenza it’s protected against for more than a decade.

That’s because there have beenno confirmed flu cases caused by the Influenza B/Yamagata lineage since spring 2020. And the Food and Drug Administration decided this year that the strain now poses little to no threat to human health.

Scientists have concluded that widespread physical distancing and masking practiced during the early days of COVID-19 appear to have pushed B/Yamagata into oblivion.

This surprised many who study influenza, as it would be the first do ented instance of a virus going extinct due to changes in human behavior, said Dr. Rebecca Wurtz, an infectious disease physician and epidemiologist at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.

“It is such an interesting and unique story,” Wurtz said, adding that if it were not for COVID, B/Yamagata would still be circulating.

One reason COVID mitigation efforts were so effective at eliminating B/Yamagata is there was already a fair amount of immunity in the population against this strain of flu, which was also circulating at a lower level, said Dr. Kawsar Talaat, an infectious disease physician at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
This year's flu shot protects against 3 strains instead of 4 : Shots - Health News : NPR

COVID is associated with loss of bone density for hospitalized patients. Hope this isn't happening to kids.

Credit where credit is due, four years later: Sen. Loeffler accidentally turned out to be right.

Along with the Trump lockdowns and the Trump bailouts, the Trump vaccine saved millions of lives.

    it's not going away.

it's not just respiratory. it's not just neurotropic.

it's vascular and systemic as well.

Biden btw, is continuing to drop the ball on this, not that I expect any better from Trump.

He's still fearful to claim his own public health victories.

We're probably 3-5 years away on a pancoronanvirus jab, nasal vaccines may come sooner. Nasal vaccines could have a sterilizing effect, which would be awesome, because that could mean starting to curb transmission, which could mean we would be starting to reduce chronic SARS2-related illness.

Some OTC treatments are touted to prevent infection -- I wish I knew more about this, tbh, it's hard for a layperson to assess the info.

Honestly, I'm not sure it's knowable to a scientific certainty how it happened.

I haven't seen anything conclusive, have you?

It's the jumping to conclusions that grates, tbh.

I'll give ya that,,,,it hasnt been proven to certainty either way,,,but there in lies the rub,,,,,democrats were bent on being anti-Trump when they should have been working together for the American people. Trump even did the warpspeed vax and democrats were closing down to crush the economy. Just like Biden first day in office, he rescinded the remain in Mexico policy that Trump made and it came back to bite democrats right in ass and they lost the election bigtime because of it. Immigration was right up there with the economy in this election,,,
