Let Overstreet start at QB in the bowl game. , he is gonna transfer anyways. Lol...Mack definately needs to step down too. This Texas team is not fun to watch as in years past. Time for a change of scenery.
Hope it saves them from transferring...
Is it too late?

Ex-Auburn committ Jaquay Williams has committed to A&M.

Ok, that has nothing to do with UT.
A little late... But, during the game vs K-State Adrian Colbert and Kennedy Estelle retweeted tweets that were talking about starting a new QB... Both were about Jalen Overstreet...
Maybe Jalen can finally throw the ball in the vicinity of the receiver?
Update on DT A'Shawn Robinson from an anonymous source (24/7). He will be taking an official visit to USC this weekend instead of attending banquet:
“Well that’s right. He is still solid to Texas,” the source said. “I know a lot of people may not think that because he’s taking visits and won’t be at the banquet this upcoming weekend, but he is. I can promise you that. If he were to sign today, it would be Texas.”
“I wouldn’t look too much into that (Robinson visiting USC),” the source said. “I’m positive they won’t land him. This is just a matter of A’Shawn checking out his childhood favorite, nothing more. There’s a lot of uncertainty there right now too, so we’re reminding him of that. Plus, that is a long way from home. The culture is different too. A’Shawn is more of a down south type kid if you know what I mean. Not some California surfer.”
“That’s the plan for right now anyway,” the source told Hookem.com. “He still wants to go check them (Alabama) out and they’ve been recruiting him hard. Do they have a legit shot to land him? I don’t think so. I wouldn’t count on it. They have a shot, yes, and it’s better than USC’s, but he’ll stick with Texas in the end.”
“I know he’s told a couple of kids that he’s going to be in Austin,” said the source. “He has friends down there already. He wants to be close to family and they want to be close to him. Texas is the logical choice. Besides, he feels like he can come in and make an impact sooner than later. He’ll be a Longhorn. I’m confident in saying that.”
Latest on OL Desmond Harrison from his JUCO coach (24/7):
“Up until the Oklahoma visit it seemed like Texas might have been the school to beat,” said Carter. “They’ve (Texas) just been real good to him and it reminds him of being home in Houston. I know he’s very excited about it all. Even though he lived in Texas, he had never been to Austin, so he’s pumped about everything. I expect them to do everything right for Desmond and I know they will. The Longhorns are going to be some tough compe ion for sure.”
“I’m not sure what to make of that situation (North Carolina State),” Carter explained. “His mom lives close to there, so they were always a big contender for him. Now their coaching staff is gone, so that isn’t really the case anymore.”
“He’ll head back east for Christmas,” said Carter. “He’ll sit down with his mom, family and friends and they’ll hash it out. He’ll make a decision then and come back after the break to let me know and then announce. If you don’t hear of one by the end of December, then it will be the first of January. It won’t be too much longer at all.”
“He’s very high on Texas and Oklahoma,” Carter said. “Both staffs have done a great job recruiting him. Coach (Bo) Davis and Coach (Stacy) Searels have been excellent. They’ve had a great presentation and work hard on him, just like Oklahoma does. Right now it might be a toss-up between the two, but he still has that Texas visit to go.”
2014 OL Demetrius Knox comments on Texas offering 2014 OL Orlando Brown, Jr. of Shawnee, GA (24/7):
“Me and him (Orlando Brown) are good friends,” explained Knox. “Just like Daniel and myself want to play together in college, Orlando and I do as well. We would love to play together. It could be me at guard and him at tackle. After a year in a college workout program, I think he could start and dominate.”
“I just told Orlando about the opportunities that Texas has,” Knox told Hookem.com. “Everyone knows I love Ohio State, but I picked Texas because I felt like I could succeed more here. Texas offers a great education and great program. It might not exactly look like that way now, but when we all get there it will feel so good to know that we are the ones who helped turn the program back to the way it should be.”
“I say think about your future six years from now,” Knox said. “Think about getting that degree from Texas and all the connections you will make along the way. Texas has the 15th best economy in the world, so just imagine what getting a degree and winning a national championship along the way will do for your future.”
A new name to remember for the 2014 class is OL Terrell Cuney of Jasper. He is being looked at as a center prospect and Stacy Searels is expected to be by his high school this week according to 24/7.

Tennessee's Rivals site reported yesterday that OK State coach, Mike Gundy, interviewed for their opening:

Quotes from OL Caleb Benenoch who's saying his commitment will come this week (OrangeBloods). He took an official visit to Baylor this past weekend where his older brother is on the football team:
"Baylor, UCLA, Texas, and Oklahoma in no specific order," Benenoch said.
"UCLA, because of the youth, the coaching staff, and the atmosphere. What they're doing with that program is unbelievable and attractive to me and something I would like to be a part of."
"Baylor because the coaches they have - coach Briles, coach Clements, coach Kaz - they do what they need to as far as developing talent. They can do something special with their program once their defense plays better."
"Oklahoma, they've won a lot of games, put a lot of talent in the league, and done things the right way."
"Texas, because it's a childhood favorite to me. Playing in the state of Texas when UT offers you look. I like coach Searels a lot and you have to be one of the top offensive linemen. It's an honor to be recruited by Texas."
"The thing with UCLA was unless I had a bad trip, the trip was going to help them out because I like UCLA," Benenoch told BruinsReport.com's Edward Lewis following his trip. "But it was a good trip, I think it helped them out and I'll talk to my mom about that and we'll sit on things. I have an official to Baylor this weekend, and about a week after that, I should be wrapping it up."
"I've always wanted to go up there (to Baylor) and get a more in depth look. I got to talk to some people from the law school which is one of the best in the country. I got to hang out with coach Kaz, the strength coach, who I absolutely love. The things he does with the players is absolutely amazing. I got to spend a lot of time with coach Clements who is one of the best offensive line coaches."
"I'm not sure (about an official visit to Texas), after this visit I feel like I'm pretty much done, but we'll see how things go over the next couple of days," Benenoch said.
"Yes, I should be making a decision by the end of this week," Benenoch said.
"It feels great," Benenoch said. "It's been a long ride but I've had a lot of fun. But it feels good that it's almost over."
Chris Petersen to Arkansas has been heating up since the weekend. Rumors go that he'll be announced as their new head coach early this week.
This is the one I don't get.
If it's true, see you later Harsin.
I'll be so upset if we miss out on Peterson after already losing Muschamp.
Big recruiting news per 24/7. Bryan Harsin is in Yuma, AZ today to check out JUCO QB Tanner McEvoy. He's 6-6/215, dual-threat QB originally from New Jersey and signed with South Carolina in 2011. He redshirted his first year and had an alcohol-related charge in August. He transferred out to Arizona Western a few weeks later and ended up being the conference's MVP. It's odd that he doesn't have any offers at the moment but Arkansas and Oregon are very interested. McEvoy would be a spring enrollee and have three years to play. Is this a sign that the staff will be coming back?

Yeah, Petersen to Arky seemed like a message board rumor from waaay out in left field.
I've since heard that he is a long time friend with the Arky AD, Jeff Long.
I only watched one game with Chizik as the DC at Texas, but as far as i've heard, he was a pretty darn good DC. If Wyatt goes to UTEP as the HC, I wouldn't mind Chizik bringing Trooper Taylor alongside! He coached Dez Bryant at OSU and Robert Meachem at Tenn. Besides that, he pretty much has the same influence on Carl Lawson and Reuben Foster as Tosh Lupoi had on Shaq Thompson back in january.
Two guys I believe Texas could squeeze in![]()
This is very encouraging to me! It's very rare to see a tackle be willing to move inside to play guard! I like the at ude!
Anybody knows if Orlando Brown is more than "just" big?
"Yea, and then we bring back Chizik to run the D. 2005 all over again! Him and Akina combined are money in the bank!"

Whoa...Tap the brakes. Auburn recruiting being investigated yet AGAIN. Chizik is fall guy but Taylor is just as "dirty".
No Flucking way they are on the 40!!
Hook 'EM
Trooper Taylor is a walking, talking, towel swinging NCAA violation waiting to happen. Everywhere that dude has been from Tulane, Tennessee,
to Auburn there have been talks of him and dirty deeds. Auburn/Taylor are under investigation as we speak.
I'm not against this but it confuses me. We said no to Wallace, allowed Ash to start, Ash outplayed Wallace. Getting this guy means we have him Ash, McCoy, Brewer, Overstreet, and Swoopes on campus this year. Maybe this is an indication that a QB wants to transfer?
Other than it reeking of Mack's desperation and it signaling his return for 2013, it's an odd move to me. I understood the staff taking a hard look at Wallace last year, but the timing of this move doesn't make sense on the surface considering Ash had a nice year. No matter how you feel about Ash, QB is not one of the gaping holes in this program right now. Investing in a wildcard, JUCO QB seems unnecessary.
100% agree with all of that. I don't get this at all.
I thought he had been cleared by the NCAA? I didn't knew that he's been under investigations before.
