We need to get him, Quay, and Jackson on campus at the same time.
Our rb coach isn't inspiring any confidence with Wheaton.
I would ask him to stay for Saturday breakfast.
I thought this kid was very interested.
I think he is. We just have to remember that this kid can barely legally drive. He thought OU and Oklahoma State were the same school a couple of months ago in an interview. He’s just now starting to discover his value as a football player. A lot of the time you see a lot of crystal balls coming from Roach, Daniel Seahorn, or EJ Holland it’s bc they just got done doing an interview where the entire focus is on their fit at UT. So I think any kid is going to give the impression that he’s highly interested. In Camar’s case I think it’s going to be hard to beat out the neg recruiting and everything else just because he’s so highly sought after but in the end he seems like a kid that wants to stay close and he’s already developed a great relationship with the staff and is best friends with Quay Davis and a few of the other Dallas kids we’re on. I’d be willing to bet that any other school recruiting Wheaton would gladly change their position among his favorites, with UT.
Edit: Him going to a&m probably helped UT’s chances if anything. He got private treatment here and was rumored to be on campus far earlier in the day than when it was actually discovered and reported. Fans on campus saw him riding around in a golf cart. A&m was dragging the Evans contingent around and was probably pretty occupied with that circus.

I make the same mistake over and over.
I seem to think the teenage male mind is rational.
Which then infuriates me further because I find myself trying to keep up with these alien thought processes. I usually want to be as far away from hormone filled teenagers as possible. Although they can be so goofy as to be highly comical if they are basically good kids.
Haha. Exactly. And most of these kids have way more interesting lives than 35 year old dads reading updates on twitter between their morning coffee and their morning dump.
I think that Floss mentioned it but these two played at the same JUCO. Almosse has really nice film. Quick off the line. Good strength. Nice little swim move. I’d love to have him in this class.

I'm guessing this is a preferred walk-on spot, but I will follow up if I see something different.
We have Coburn, Ojomo, and 3 seniors at that spot.
So we are not confident in this group?
I was thinking we need some DE types.
I guess I thought Coburn was going to be a monster this year.
I was under the impression this was going to be recruits getting to hang out kind of event but was it more of a training session like we see above? I’m confused or did I miss something?? Did we already hold our gathering?
Championships are won at the line of scrimmage. Take as many beast lineman as you can (so long as it makes sense)
We play a 3-4 or sometimes a 3-3-5.
I guess inside the 5 yl you need many bodies. I just thought DE types could play trench warfare and we need twice as many DE in our base defense.
Edit: The guy in the middle of the 3-4 is basically getting hit by 2 guys every play. Maybe it requires some that are needed to absorb blows and hold the line versus a guy who can beat 1, be disruptive, but can be moved. So maybe this is the thinking. A guy in the middle always takes a risk choosing a gap and getting flanked and mowed over from an angle.
