That albatross is averaging 19.7 points, 8 assists and 1.7 steals per game. The people that think he's an albatross are probably the same people that want to being back Brandon Paul and make him a rotation player because of his defense.
CP3 is obv still a great player. The problem is it's a Max 4-year deal and the contract is back-loaded.. He will be 34 this season and has already had a lot of injury problems these past 3 years. His recurring hamstring injury in Game 6 of the WCF last year is literally why the Rockets weren't the 2018 champions.

You want to be the team paying him $42M at age 36 and $45M at 37? Have at it. Most teams won't.

    Rockets 1-5

What a mess that team is.
They blew the next season after getting sonned by GSW in the WCF in 2015 also.

They had to with how close they were to ringing last year. Where they ed up was losing Ariza and replacing him with a fat pos who hasn't done since 2013.

Isn't that less than what Pau Gasol is getting at age 38-40? That 45M is an option year so Houston could restructure his deal

Good news for the Rockets is they play two ty teams coming up in the Nets and the Bulls. Then they play the Pacers in Indy, Thunder in OKC, and then us next Saturday in San Antonio. Hope we destroy them tbh. I think it will be a close one though.

Carmelo was such a disastrous pick-up. A team with defensive issues already should know better.

Chris Paul is a locker-room problem. But I don't know how that locker room was in the first place.

Just a junk team. They mortgaged everything for last year and without CP getting hurt, they probably beat GSW. Now they're going to be bad, bad, bad for several years. Butler's not going to fix anything.

Gasol gets $16mil/year. ty contract, but at least he isn't getting $40mil+ like CP0 will be.

No doubt but I was talking about the 40M+ he'll be making at age 36. I don't think CP3 is Houston's biggest worry at the moment. It's funny how many Spurs fans were willing to max him out when he was pretending to show interest a couple of years ago.

Actual quote from one of their threads:

If we had MCW in the WCF, we would have won 4-1.

    Just weird, man.

We could easily be 1-5, tbh. I wouldn't be laughing at the Rockets just yet.

    They could be ...

... but they're not, because they aren't the Rockets.

It's 6 games into the season, no one's proving yet.

Try 0-6. Barely beat Minny on opening night, Both wins vs LAL came down to the wire, and the Mavs game went into OT. I'm not sure they've even beaten a playoff team yet.

Yep, so there's no way the Spurs can be 1-5 at this point.

No, there's no way any team has really proven anything after just 6 games.

Proven they aren't going 1-5 to start the season like the Rockets did.

Crazy to see how fast a team can fall from one season to the next. I guess continuity counts for something in this league. Bringing in a chucking cancer like melo.
when you let out the only player who was playing consistent defense on the perimeter (and your backup) in a perimeter league that happens, see Spurs defense without your best defensive wings

    ...and Melo....

This is probably pretty close. 2-8. Who knew Ariza was the team's MVP.
