I think fin was supposed to shoot
With the game on the line I only want Mason and Manu taking shots to win the game then Finley 3rd if he has an open look, Tim 4th and Tony 5th. If Tony is open move him up a spot or two.

So as bad as Tony was on d in the 4th, you think the last play is on him?
    Ok genius ^^
see Finley, Mike for more information about screwing up a drawn play and passing up the winning shot.
Obviously Finley passing up that shot was a complete fail but it was easier to pick on Parker for ing up on defense and the game.

Parker's defense is sucking bad lately... I mean, get owned by Ukic??? who the is this guy???
Just because you don't know who he is does not mean he's crap, as i explained multiple times during the game. He's a very capable player drafted in 2005 by the Raps and left in Euroleague (tau Ceramica, Barcelona) to grow up - which is exactly what he did, as you saw today.

What do you mean? We've hardly lost to a lesser team all year!

Discounting the 2-5 start, the only lesser teams we've lost to are:

Milwaukee (who beat us more often than not)
    Philadelphia (a terrible matchup)
    ...and now the Raps.

That is it! Check for yourself:

    http://www.nba.com/spurs/schedule/

people spout a lot of without knowing their facts around here.

Oh no, you're right. Fortunately. But let's not overlook the fact they barely won a lot of those games after playing like . How many could have easily been losses? I'm just tired of seeing them repeatedly play like against all the crappy teams. It's one of those god damned Spurs eccentricities I could do without. But hey, if they keep winning who gives a , right? Not tonight, though, huh?

No no, listen to Eric or whatever screen name he wants to use, he was solid and grabbed 6so muchhhhhhhhh contested boards in 28mins.
Good to see someone agrees. This game makes me think Bonner is fools gold. if he can be this bad against one the worst teams he will get a lot more attention in the playoffs. I do not want to risk that being put to the test.

Give the Raptors credit...they made shots down the stretch and the Spurs didn't.

    It happens!

I will take a 36-16 record going into the All Star Game after starting 2-5.

    The Spurs will be alright!!

I'm OK with this loss, the game should've never been that close, give the Raptors credit, they deserved this win... but c'mon, you can't get burned like that by Ukic, or whatever his name is... That's pathetic defense. Awful.

You guys are way over-analysing this.

We played tired, and then used up all our energy in the 3rd.

In the 4th, Bargnani, and a youngster with some ability named ukic decided to put it to us.

It happens. However, there is no great significance to it. Occasionally good teams lose nail-biters to bad teams, especially when they are tired and out of sync. Get over it.

    Game over, move on.

Bad games will happen by everybody....even Matt Bonner.

I believe his confidence in shooting will be alright.

It was one of those games....where the Big 3 scored most of the points and the role players didn't have it tonight and it took an almost perfect game from Toronto to win on their home floor.

Its something to be off, but when Bonner is off, he is really really off, a complete non show. Thats the ed up part. He forced the the first two shots, and after that it was lights out.

    No, no, no.

As I've explained a thousand times, our team this year is playing like a veteran team - they virtually ignore the first half of games against lesser teams, just doing enough to lead slightly or keep the deficit from getting to double digits (what you call "playing like " when actually it's just saving their energy).

Then, some time in the second half (sometimes straight out of the gate, sometimes mid-3rd, sometimes end-of-3rd, sometimes mid-4th), they ratchet up the intensity, get some stops, make some easy baskets and hold on to win the game. That has been the formula against lesser teams all year. That is the way this team plays. Like it or not, that's what they've been doing and will continue to do.

By contrast, against good teams they tend to play hard for all 48 minutes.

Remember, most of these guys are getting old, and are probably bored by much of the first 2/3s of the season. Let's face it, 82 games is a ridiculous grind (it should by 58 - play each team twice), and it is impossible to keep up the intensity the whole time. The NBA regular season is a marathon, not a sprint, and our guys are old enough and wise enough to treat it as such.

He is a shooter and he just had two of best games this season.

It will happen and I don't think he will go into the tank all of sudden.

You're a ing idiot. We heard you already. You don't know who Ukic is, we get it. He's so "crap" that he just crapped all over our vaunted team.

Guy can play, and the fact that you are ignorant of that does not change his ability, it merely displays your idiocy and ignorance.
