Well Phoenix didnt help us any tonight. It's looking like the best chance for an OKC loss is going to be Sunday @ the Lakers, or in the season finale against Denver...

Punched? Like Melo slap or Peeler punch?
I went back and watched it. Telfair swatted the ball out of his hands and it went out of bounds. He was guarding Telfair on the inbounds and hit him in the nuts so hard you could hear it. Telfair got a technical the next trip down because he was yelling at the officials for not calling it.

Well the Spurs are the only team to win two b3b's in one season. That's a record that could stand forever.

Daammn I hope Manu doesn't wind up with some bizarre inner ear injury or something. It just sounds like the kind of freak thing that could happen to him in some meaningless game.
From another thread, lakers win 33 in a row back in 1971, they had 4 sets of b2b2b they won just in that stretch.

The depth of this team is just awesome. Pop and the coaching staff did a great job in managing minutes and keeping the team in position to win. The other teams have to be secretly wetting themselves when they see just how good the Spurs are this year.

Manu doesn't change based on the score or the meaninglessness of the game. He's a compe or to his heart. He doesn't have the natural talent otherwise. Dude is relentless, must be a real er in Monopoly.
    I would beat him

Damn. I didn't know they played that many b3b's. I said that earlier because I didn't think anyone had to play more than one in a season.

    Wow.

No, Jason Terry clearly used his fist, and he and Mark Cuban lied like little es about it. Westbrook threw it pretty hard as he was falling down and Telfair dropped to the ground. It just made too much sound to be a push.

What about the highest point differential in the b2b2b set? Spurs must be up there with 20+.

What about teams in the 70s? Didn't they have these regularly? I think Mel mentioned it in another thread.

Nope. Believe it or not, that Laker team won 3 games in 3 nights by 30, 26, and 22.

I never thought about it before, but I would have never guessed how many b3b's they played back then.

Pretty impressive on consecutive nights with the Lakers in the middle of that. California sweep.

Oh, yeah, I hate that. And then they come flying across the board and crash heads with the other players and stuff?

No - I knew what you meant. I was just marvelling at the Monopoly reference on a basketball forum. I'm thinking it was a first.

Manu, on his injury laundry list: "I'm trying to mix it up. Hand, ab, ear. Keep it entertaining." His sense of humor remains 100 percent.

Ten days until the playoffs start. I'm about ready to pack Manu in bubble wrap and keep him that way until Game 1.
