But I just ran an experiment.
Ok, I just measured a meter on the carpet and timed myself traveling across it. I timed a .116 for that meter.
Extrapolate that and it's the equivalent of a 23.20 200m time. Of course, I'm older so it should be slower than what I
ran in middle school. Also, I didn't factor in any acceleration which would lower that 23.20. Pretty reasonable that I
ran a 20 something in my prime.
Ok, now that we are talking track.
So who will be in those 8 lanes in that NCAA 60 this weekend?
YES.....a 23 something is more like it, I ran a 25 something in the 8th grade hand timed. A world of difference in a 23.20 and a 20.00, a HUGE difference.
What happened is you not knowing the sport did remember the 20, not understanding the MASSIVE difference between a 20.00 and a 29.00. Yep both...20...
Guy runs a 10.99 in HS, yep....he can say I ran a 10. But a 10.99 is nothing remotely close to a 10.00.

As I said, the 23.20 is my time today without any acceleration.
It basically confirms that I ran a 20.something when I was younger.

Unless you can run a 10.10ish 100m you won't be able to run a 20.00 200m. It's impossible. Bo Jackson ran a 10,33 100m, Herschel Walker a 10.23, now think just a little bit, ok?
His PR was 20.00, look at his 100m vs his 200m.
