    So...

    Murray
    DD
    Gay?
    LMA
    Gasol/Poeltl

    Where does this leave White?
    Gasol can't be starting.

    They could go smaller:

    Murray
    White
    DeRozan
    Gay
    LMA

Not a bad haul all things considered. Still in shock that this happened with Kawhi though. Insane.

People ing on here bc they didn't get what they want sound like Kawhi's camp. We got a star back for multiple years who elevated his game last year and could potentially continue to next year under Pop. Poeltl isn't Anunoby or Siakam on return but he's still a 22 year old 7 footer who moves well and has good upside.

And we got to stick it to Kawhi and his camp, he didn't get what he wanted, and we made the Lakers window one year shorter. This trade was a win. We were a playoff team last year and this year we should have enough internal improvement with the young guards to be better and DeRozan/Poeltl make us a better team on top of it. Yeah I would have rather gotten rid of Gasol/Patty but we did the best we could with the leverage we had.

It's a good trade when you consider what the Spurs' goals were. They want to compete RIGHT NOW while Pop is still around and they didn't want to send Kawhi to the Lakers. I hate DeRozan's game and this will be the most unlikable Spurs team I've ever watched, but getting him makes the Spurs much better next season.

In a vacuum, it's a terrible trade, but context and cir stances matter.

Really bad trade here. Losing Green for nothing. A junk Euro. No OG. Didn't shed any bad contracts. RC gave in. I am disgusted.

First impressions: awful deal without OG

Would have rather had no pick involved and OG instead of Poertl.

Losing Green ... Who is guarding any of the SFs of the league? Belineli? Hilliard? It sure isn't DeRozan.

Why bother trading Kawhi if they aren't going to be compe ive even? And without any other player who can play SF, they can't be.

    They caved, they were weak.

All boils down to the health of Kawhi. Who knows if he's even the same player he used to be. If he isn't, the Spurs might have made out better than people think.

Losing nephew, LDN, and Fathead is a huge blow to the defense. I guess the 2011 Spurs are back.

Toronto did us a solid here, they're taking a huge risk here. I can see why they didn't want to let go of a promising young prospect.

Hopefully Kawhi slips on a piece of ice and has a career ending injury.

What possible value could the Spurs get for a player that refuses to play sabotaged his own trade value? They got a regular season all-star that allows them to compete now. No team in the ing NBA was giving up young assets for a Kawhit rental.

But they aren't really competing this season without a small forward or someone who can guard small forwards.

This is where not matching on Anderson is a problem, or including Green is a problem. They have to wait until next summer to get a SF, but they won't have any money in a summer where everyone else does.

It's not a good trade for competing now, and a bad trade for clearing the decks also.

Spurs had to do what they had to but sucks they couldn’t get OG or Siakim. Poor Green. He’s probably pissed he opted in now.

Just a really awful trade all around but. At least the cancer is gone and Pop exiled him about as far as you could from LA

Use his almost expiring to get Love
I am fine with trading Pau if it's for Kevin Love but why would the Cavs want to do that? Spurs could use the pick and Pau they got from Toronto.

Kawhi created such a stink the Spurs got the best haul they could for him. I guess they did not want this dragging on in whats left of the summer and training camp.
