I think he's earned the starting job frankly and has a track record of making big plays. He doesn't have natural athletic ability and an IQ like Darren Woodson, but makes up for it with hustle and heart. I got no problems with Heath starting whatsoever and I'm not going to throw him under the bus for getting pancaked on one play. I think he's just going to get better the more you play him and like you said he's invaluable on special teams. A real glue guy.

Ok, I'll admit he's alright on special teams, but his zone coverage as a safety is some of the worst you'll find in the NFL... he does NOT need to be starting on defense... and his tackling is mediocre to bad at times, he got pancaked on a tackle attempt in week 4 of the season by Kerryon in Johnson who promptly scored the TD.
