She's just not cut out to be a prime timer. Or in liberal networks for that matter. Fox screwed her brains for good.
Gotta say, not a fan of Megyn Kelly, but was hoping she'd be fired for something worse than this. She asked why it was racist, then later apologized and said her mind had been changed.
We shouldn't be blacklisting/punishing people for spurring conversation. Clearly some people still need to understand why blackface is bad.
I will also admit I haven't seen the whole conversation so my assumption about what she said may be wrong.
True, ignorance isn't the most compelling reason to be fired -- but to be that ignorant after almost 50 years and 15 years in media is astounding.
Media people sometimes have to play a role to drive conversation (not that that's what she was doing, but also not sure it matters).
I could just as easily see an NPR interview where the host asks a guest to explain the inherent racism of blackface costumes and brings up a Diane Ross costume comparison.
