I hope Pop doesn’t mess with his confidence. He could play this year if a coach was willing. I am sure a team like Memphis would play him righ away
A year in the G-League will do him a world of good. Barring injury I doubt we see him this year.

nice oop finish by vassell, but overall tbh i havent been impressed with him. im not sure he's ever going to be a plus 3 point shooter. his delivery is awkward and it isnt a quick stroke

    also wieskamp is no good

Overall really happy with both Vassell and Primo. Both teams at times making summer league plays, specially sloppy passes that get picked up … SL TO.

    at wade's current age, maybe

really he looks like an undersized fathead. the lack of burst is evident

Yeah, that white boy we drafted is a nothing player. Another 2nd round bust from the Spurs FO but it's expected at this point. We haven't had a successful 2nd round pick since Blair who was a no brainer

Vassell not being able to score against G-Leaguers means he's still who he was last year. I don't see any improvements here.

they really don't have similar speed. Lack of burst ok but not ala K Anderson.

Didn't Devin say he worked on his handles this summer? I don't see any noticeable improvement

yeah, i dont get why people have been impressed with him, either with his rookie season or so far this summer league. at least he's still just 20

I dont mind Vassell working through his game and decision making. That is what this is for.

I’d get Primo some coaching with Kyle tbh. Dude has no first step but gets where he wants to bc of deceptively good handle. I think Primo can improve. He doesnt have much burst, but can learn to be crafty.

Oveerall though. I love his jumpshot and is a player that plays under control.

It looks like Vassell’s shot has been tweaked slightly, quicker into his goose neck with less of a wind up.
The results have been mixed thus far but this will allow him to get into shots off the dribble from range with regularity.

i wash hoping vassell would get stronger and be a more confident ball handler, but really he looks identical to last season which frankly wasn't a promising year

I dont see playmaking from him at all. That is why the announcer says hes becoming too predictable. No passing.. but that is why hes here. To learn to make reads.

I have liked his midrange shot a lot. Hes looked better to me at least.

Primo is very young and raw but better than I expected.

He is showing some things that sort of justify the pick at 12, yea sort of.

True, but Kyle was more a Forward while Primo is a guard, can a slow footed guard survive in the modern NBA?
