It's not like standing pat will do them any good. They need to find a franchise player somehow.

I don't know why, though. You are really high on their future and I just don't see it. They built a team with no franchise player, they will never reach the heights they need to reach in the playoffs because of that. Unless they pull some weird 2004 Pistons , they basically ed themselves over by building a good team with no true #1. They'll be pretenders for the next decade or so.

They might beat the Dubs, they might even make the WCF, but I will never take them seriously as championship contenders.

The kid is fun to watch, but with his complete lack of shooting you can't really expect him to lead a team with championship aspirations. If we're being honest, the kid probably isn't even a top 3 option on a championship team.

Spurs and Clippers playing each other in the first round in 2015 and KD being a really changed the course of NBA history tbh.

Jalen Green is a big reason I think I'd trade the pick if the Spurs land #2 through #4 if they can get a good vet like TMIII. I still remember when Green was supposed to be a can't miss talent.

I mean the whole point of trading the pick for the vet is you're trading upside for known production. If it's pick #2 I'm asking for Murphy and NOP's pick but if it's #3 or #4 I'd probably be happy with Murphy and the Pels taking Vassell's contract off our hands.

The only teams that will beat the warriors in the West is OKC, Denver and Clippers.

The Lakers are a good matchup for the Warriors because they are awful defensively with Luka Reeves and LeBron on the court together. I still don’t trust Minny against them either.
