I wanted Furph as well.
Seems like a good developmental prospect.
Three guys I was really interested in at our draft slots last year were Stephon Castle, Rob Dillingham, and Johnny Furphy, and we drafted all three and traded two of them away.
I didn't mind trading Dillingham but thought we should have kept Furph.
I wanted Furph as well.
Seems like a good developmental prospect.
Raptors just won move to 3-0 as well

That Raptors SL team's the team to beat tbh
If there are more than four 4-0 teams, how does the tie get broken?
Is it point differential (good for the Spurs) or number of quarters won (less good)?
\
Point differential.
For some reason the ESPN standings tie-breakers go by quarters rather than point differential.
I was at that 76rs game that they won by 41 points.
I was wondering why they were still pushing but it looks like they were just banking points.
Yang Hansen ain’t half bad. Seen him twice now. Gets up and down the court rather well. Curious to see him in a regular season game.
I'll admit my skepticism about Yang Hansen, but, he's looking legit. Portland has some interesting pieces. They are one team that might benefit from a player like Vassell if he ever stops turning the corner for us.
So Yang has been playing well? I saw that he had a good first game, but haven't followed up on the games he's played after.
Any word on if D-Harp will be playing in the next game?
Kon was a reach and a horrible pick at 4. Passed on both Bailey and Johnson.
McNeeley was a steal for Charlotte but they also made the bad Kon pick. Wanted the Spurs to land Mcneeley. He's a better shooter than Bryant and would have helped the Spurs 3 point shooting.
all these 'spurs should have drafted so and so' postulates could be solved if anyone in the front office 'spoke' heptapod.

Dylan Harper will sit for the remainder of the San Antonio Spurs’ summer league run, per the team. KellyIko
and I wrote about his debut against Cooper Flagg, where Harper showed some exciting defensive versatility and a good feel for how to get to his shots in the paint. He has a lot to work on reading the floor but has been saying the right things about how he will work to get a feel for running point in the NBA:

We knew this was coming and it’s probably the right decision but would have been nice to see one more game. Hopefully Carter Bryant can have a signature game offensively and Jones-Garcia wins MVP. A summer league championship would be nice too but I’m not sure if the Spurs will have enough firepower
Good move to shut Harper down and keep Carter playing tbh.
Darn, was hoping they'd let him play it out. I was hoping for at least one more game.
It looked to me like the Spurs were going to let Steph play out SL last year if he didn't get injured (do you guys think they would have?). I think he played in the whatever the previous league was and one Vegas SL game and then got the wrist injury and sat out.
Probably Harper’s heartless chest pain moved to his groin after the horrible game he just had and MATFO decided to shut him down.
Need at least one decent offensive outing from Carter Bryant before SL is over to give us a glimmer of hope tbh.
Very solid offensive hub center with some rim protection potential.
I see him being a great backup at minimum for a long time.
That's a shame. Doubt we will go far if we make the semis. Then again, with Jones MVP Garcia on the team anything could happen. Why the heck hasn't that young man been signed? We need a shooter like him, of course. Minix is already on a two-way contract, correct?
Because it's a two-way street and it's unlikely the Spurs are the only team expressing interest.
From his perspective, it doesn't make sense to sign with a team that has as much shot creation/guard depth as this one.
Yes, makes sense. I was just hoping to scoop him up because his 3 pt shooting looks to be elite. Then again, SL might not be the same as against NBA veterans. Many of our guards look to be below average from the 3. Somebody will grab him.
Kings won today and move to 4-0

clifford's been killing it, but this is also something that you probably expect from an older prospect
